Meetings were Monday and Tuesday but your point after stands.RonnieMoore said:Why are people across social media wetting themselves cause we not released our retain list .. meeting with the players was Tuesday and Wednesday then they have to sort out any payments , bonus etc that may have to be paid .. before they will release any details … only clubs in league one and two that have really released details at the moment … chill out7 -
Only Norwich and QPR have announced player releases from the Championship. Not even Lincoln or Cardiff who have known for quite a while they'd be in the Championship next season have announced theirs.
The problem is now the season for us has finished, and this week in particular the amount of other football has slowed down, so people need something to talk/panic about.9 -
Where's the new kit? Is it red enough? Round or v neck? Ooh my god oh my god.DyerConsequences said:Only Norwich and QPR have announced player releases from the Championship. Not even Lincoln or Cardiff who have known for quite a while they'd be in the Championship next season have announced theirs.

My summer signing suggestion for the day: Jordan Holsgrove. Left footed, Edinburgh born centre mid playing in Portugal.

The players know, the club know, nothing is being delayed.5 -
We haven't even had the academy players jumping the gun yet, that might be down to how many are actually still in contract but these things take time. Not impossible that first team have been told but academy players haven't yet. As Henry says, the club will say when they want and we just have to wait for that1

So to get this straight, you'd pass on both but also think we can't get better? That makes zero senseCrispywood said:
I’d pass on both of them just because of the injury issues, and the Millwall connections but if people think we’re going to be able to pull better footballing quality than that this summer they’re in for a big summer of disappointmentBostonaddick said:McNamara was decent about 4-5 years but has been either injured or crap the last few years. Definite pass on him. Mitchell is an upgrade on what we have and on a free so would be solid but not spectacular signing1 -
Someone has been spending their time designing what they think the new kit will look like…retro stylie

Real Madrid, Leicester both this year 2 perfect examples for you. You can have a good team on paper but with no team cohesion, workrate and fight it will get you nowhere.sam3110 said:

Also what’s the point of having good players who are in the medical room 70% of the time, otherwise we’d still have Aneke kicking about0 -
Doubt it’s even much to talk about we know berry and Taylor are getting released. Other than it’s only Dykes and Godden out of contract and based on Dykes/Docherty’s comments doesn’t seem like he’s staying eitherDyerConsequences said:Only Norwich and QPR have announced player releases from the Championship. Hope that kit’s nothing like what we end up with. Surely our kit must be predominantly red with minimal white with possibly a little black.3

£15k is cheap in this league, and so is bang in our wage structure. It’s so low I struggle to believe it and if it is Clarke would be wanting a healthy pay rise now he’s been a regular in this league.Chris_from_Sidcup said:
Ipswich signed him 3 and a half years ago as a 21 year old when they were in league one and he's still on the same contract. Surely he isn't on 15k a week?TheAddicks4Ever said:Ipswich winning promotion - Ashley Young retiring the signing that kept Harry Clarke out of the team - Ipswich have a activation clause to extend his contract by one year - does McKenna seen him as part of his plans after good loans spells guess we will see, I personally don’t think so if they want to stay in the Premier League. He is only 25 and has had a lot of loans throughout his career has this stifled his development? Would we buy him if he is available? He’s currently on £15k a week ! Would imagine he is out of our wage structure! However he still has potential to develop and fine tune areas of his game - I was particularly impressed with his attitude on and off the pitch, at the right club he could really develop - likely he’ll be off to Derby or Preston though
That said, if Kaminski's reported salary is correct then it's not out of our structure.2 -

Interesting we haven't triggered the option in Godden's deal and we're in discussions with Dykes. Is it an either/or scenario?0

So Taylor and Berry the only confirmed departures, Godden and Dykes in talks2
-
Probably only keen to keep them on reduced wages….hence why the players have decided to hold off on signing & see what else is out therefenaddick said:Interesting we haven't triggered the option in Godden's deal and we're in discussions with Dykes. Is it an either/or scenario?2 -

"When the Red and Pink Robin goes bob bob bobbing along"...😉1 -
Berry gone?! Jones really wasn't kidding about ruthless was he....10
-
Jones has been so ruthless.2
-
Does this mean Taylor will be like a new signing for someone12
-
Different players. They are probably trying to reduce goddens wages to reflect that he won’t play nearly as much.fenaddick said:Interesting we haven't triggered the option in Godden's deal and we're in discussions with Dykes. Is it an either/or scenario?
the dykes one is interesting as although he adds something from what Jones was saying I would’ve thought we’d put our resources to better use1 -
I think Godden himself confirmed there wasn’t actually a club option in his contract which was contradictive of reports when he signed.7
-
Sincerely hope it isn't Dykes or Godden...only one winner in that scenario and it ain't Dykes...🙄fenaddick said:Interesting we haven't triggered the option in Godden's deal and we're in discussions with Dykes. Is it an either/or scenario?2 -
I suppose with Dykes it will be a case of making him an offer (probably lower than his previous wage) and seeing if something can be worked out but if not so be it. We'll have an amount to offer and if he takes it great, if not we move on.AberystwythAddick said:
