In terms of incomings, I would like to see us add a couple of aggressive players if possible. I think we always match up okay physically, but we lack that bite and aggression across the squad. Particularly in midfield, I see it as a soft middle and this is the area of the pitch I think it would be most effective.Two players that will bully opponents and instill an ethic into our team that we won’t be bullied would be preferable. That goes for being able to stand up the occasion as well. The best example I can give is how poor Ramsay was in both Millwall games, particularly away. He bottled the occasion and wasn’t up to it. For those sorts of games next season, we need a bit more about us13

Quality on the ball, athleticism, aggression, good attitude. Quite where we can find all of those on what’s still probably a bottom six budget will be interesting to say the least. I hope central attacking midfield is where we focus our budget because I think if we get that right we’ll straight away be stronger than last year.6

I think it’s going to be a slow burner this window , what with the World Cup, surprised people are saying they are bored, where’s the rumours?, the season isn’t even finished. Clubs will already have their shopping lists ready, 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices pencilled in, and no doubt some tentative enquiries are already under way.
Anyway, Charlton like to keep transfer news under wraps until the player is signed, sealed and delivered.

Looks like Joe Gomez may finally be on the move from Liverpool, shame he’s unlikely to go for anywhere near what was being reported a few years ago but still might be a nice boost to our budget.9
