Bandaged wrists.

I know some jokers will say it’s because of a general increase of onanism, but I don’t believe that. My question is about why there is seemingly an increasing number of bandaged wrists on one hand especially amongst defenders.

Why?

Read about this last season. With more grappling going on it’s to try and attempt to stop wrists being hyperextended by an attacker grabbing on and pulling

Had a rough idea what you were referring to mate but had to look it up to confirm, that's a new one for me...🤦‍♂️

OK, I thought it might be about some kind of secret sub Masonic signalling system between team mates.

Is it a similar thing with the bandaged hand like Keith lemon (foden comes to mind), can’t have had an injured hand for that long!!

Why do players not bandage up both wrists though? It’s always just the one.

@DaveMehmet mobile alerts must be muted.
Hes got “wrists” highlighted as a keyword! 😉

Pretty sure Ben White wore two yesterday but they were watch strap or bangle sized, can’t be for any protection, must just be some fashion thing that is old-uns won’t understand…

Because they're more likely to be grappled on that side I imagine, I think in reality it probably helps more mentally than physically

I did wonder why Kayne Ramsay’s wrist seemed to be taking so long to heal!

noticed in the Villa v Forest semi final last week that Sancho wasn't allowed on the pitch until he'd taped over the holes he'd made in his socks

All that money spent on players so clubs can't even afford socks without holes in them!

It’s just a fad as snoods , nose clips , Vaseline on shirts and holes in socks were/are . These footballers have too much time on their hands .

Is it Vaseline on shirts? I thought it was huge dollops of Vicks Vapour rub to keep airways open and the brain clearer.

Biblical Origin: Refers to Onan, who, in Genesis 38:9-10, "wasted his seed on the ground" to avoid producing offspring with his brother's widow.eastterrace6168 said:

Coincides with less torn holes in socks.

A fad for the overpaid and over adored players of today.

Whatever happened to wrist sweat bands. Can we expect them  at the  World Cup as in yesteryear ? 😄😉

If you want to slit your wrists, you need to cut down the vein, not accross!

West Ham vs Arsenal yesterday and I'm pretty sure the 4th official made the west ham sub tear a load of tape off his wrist before he'd let him on?
