We deserve a lot of credit for this as well, by the way. Our yearly charitable donation of points to Millwall helped shove them into 3rd. Admittedly, they only managed to take 4 points off us this season instead of the traditional 6, so if anything we actually cut back on the generosity this year.
However, here’s the funny part: without those 4 points from Charlton, Millwall finish 5th and end up playing Boro instead. I've decided that in that alternate universe, Millwall would've gone on to shithouse their way up to the Prem.
So, really, by rolling over for them as usual, we accidentally engineered the exact playoff route that sent them crashing out.
