Think he's got to the stage where keeping Pompey up on a League 1 budget is getting a bit tiresome.fenaddick said:
But is anyone open to taking him? There aren’t many Championship openingsThe Red Robin said:
Bristol City is the only opening though that would give him a proper Championship level budget1 -
I wonder if he'd be tempted by Leicester. A drop down but to a team with the budget that means they should bounce back up if well managedMarcusH26 said:

Think they're an absolute ticking time bomb financially even if they sell off their key players that are worth something . Blackburn isn't going to be attractive to many managers because the Venkys won't invest.fenaddick said:

What budget? They're losing tens of millions a year, have already spent next seasons parachute payment, are loaned up the the eyeballs with an Australian bank and need to massively cut their wage bill. They're probably also in serious danger of failing PSR again.fenaddick said:

No PSR issues in League One for them to worry about. Sell off as many players as they can, invest even 1/10 of that in the playing squad and they probably still have the highest budget in the divisionChris_from_Sidcup said:

Hartlepool United is pleased to confirm the appointment of Lee Clark as the Club’s new First Team Head Coach.
Former Pools captain Gary Liddle will remain part of the First Team coaching staff, while Chris Beech has been appointed Head of Recruitment. An additional assisting First Team coach will be announced in due course following the conclusion of current season commitments.

More reports of Burnley being interested in Brian Barry-Murphy. If that happened we’d certainly be getting NJ to Cardiff links again2
-
If it was going to happen it would have done last year even the media should know they’re not going to pay us 4 years worth of his contract or a big release clausefenaddick said:More reports of Burnley being interested in Brian Barry-Murphy. Imo this is a complete non starter. NJ without doubt sees us a project and he really doesnt seem the type to walk away unless it is an offer too good to turn down, Cardiff is not one of those situations2
-
Just for clarity, I don’t think he’d go. I do think there’d be a concerted effort to try and tempt him away2

Xabi Alonso has agreed to become Chelsea manager apparently.
Awful move for him IMHO.
Might mean Slot is staying too, thought he'd be a shoo-in at Liverpool otherwise.4 -
Hopefully Liverpool can nip in and get Iraola before he's confirmed with the Nigel's. Can't see Slot staying after how poor they were against Villa2

They must be offering Alonso a crazy salary because i can't see why he'd go near it otherwise.North Lower Neil said:Xabi Alonso has agreed to become Chelsea manager apparently.

Surely has to be Agent talk with Iraola going to Palace, its a backwards step for him at the moment, doesn't make senseMarcusH26 said:Hopefully Liverpool can nip in and get Iraola before he's confirmed with the Nigel's. Can't see Slot staying after how poor they were against Villa3 -
Yeah I just don't see why he'd leave Bournemouth if it was just for the Nigel's.ForeverAddickted said:

Mourinho is going back to Real Madrid. 2 year contract.0

I'm sure Vinicius Jnr will be delighted after the unsavoury incident with the Benfica player earlier this seasonChris_from_Sidcup said:Mourinho is going back to Real Madrid. 2 year contract.0 -
He's basically one of the main reasons Alonso was sacked by Madrid so i have little sympathy for him, the arrogant prick.fenaddick said:

Imagine if you'd said a year ago that Alonso would be at Chelsea, Mourinho would be back at Madrid and Carrick would be at Man U, i think you'd probably have been laughed out of the room.3 -

Bizarre. He seems a bit like yesterday's manager now, trading on his brilliant past.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Mourinho is going back to Real Madrid. 2 year contract.1 -

Both can be true... you can be unfairly racially abused and also be a massive tit.2 -
Of course but I was specifically referring to the fact that Mourinho effectively said that Vinicius deserved the abuse. Would you be happy if your new boss had said that about you in the past?FirenzeAddick said:fenaddick said:

No, absolutely. Mourinho dealt with the situation terribly and to be honest got off way too lightly - the racial abuse players deal with in Spain particularly to this day is abhorrent especially Vini Jr.I think its fair to also look at the dressing room as a whole at Madrid and the level of arrogance and infighting and recognise he is consistently a big part of the poor dynamic.... don't get me started on the ballon d'or nonsense.1
