Would he have worked under Duchatelet?
    Yes whilst at Sint Truden
So the one decent potential manager and Roland doesn't send him over.

Unless something changes there, you can guess what will happen.

May 2026 - Southampton are promoted back to the Premier League
December 2026 - Will Still is sacked with Southampton in 19th.

No excuse. Roland over promoted plenty of others.

Will Still has been confirmed as Southampton Manager.

Norwich have asked Bristol City for permission to talk with Liam Manning.

Plymouth didn't worry about Wayne Rooney when they sacked him. Poor Wayne and his family were left destitute as a result. Hypocrites.

That statement from Plymouth is so salty!

Don't agree to someone having a release clause in his contract then whinge if someone pays the release clause.

And the "Despite signing players/getting staff he wanted..." stuff - he was your manager, that's what every club does?

Schalke is a big club, and if it lets him move closer to family too then good on him.  Wish him well and concentrate on getting the next appointment right.

Would laugh if he said all that and ended up at Hull.

Wow. Massive blow to Plymouth, as with him I would have them as favourites to bounce straight back up. They will find it harder to keep hold of their best players now, hint hint.

It must be something in the waters down in Devon.

Exeter put out a really salty statement as well, about one of their players choosing to leave on a Free Transfer... Only for Plymouth to announce they'd signed him about five minutes later.

Their statement doesn't mention a release clause. Just that they've reluctantly agreed to let him go after he made it clear he didn't want to stay.

And i can see why they're pissed off. He's fucked off 4 months into a 3.5 year contract at the first sign of interest from elsewhere. It's probably not about the players/staff he wanted, it's clearly because they "received repeated verbal promises from Miron that he was committed to Argyle and would do everything to help the club bounce back to the second tier".

How happy do you think we'd be if Jones decided he wanted to be the new Cardiff manager? I don't think many of us would be saying "oh well at least he's closer to home now".

Other reporting does mention a release clause though, them leaving it out just adds to the pettiness. They knew the risk when they put a release clause in. And with the greatest of respects to Plymouth, Schalke are a much bigger club.

Cant argue with the size of Schalke. If there is a release clause though then i agree it's a bit weird to say they've "reluctantly allowed" him to talk to Schalke. If there's a clause, they have no choice.

If there wasn’t a clause I doubt they would have allowed him to as it’s clear they want to keep him

…..and clubs ALWAYS have the ultimate release clause.

I hear there's a lot of interest in the Cardiff manager position with our very own NJ as the number one candidate. You heard it here first.

I cannot reveal my source as I am part of a group of high rollers that wins billions in specialising on "next manager" markets. PM me if you want to be part of the action - there's a small entry fee of £10k (cash only), as a sign of your goodwill and confirmation that your interest is genuine, but which I'm sure you'll understand is small fry compared to the amounts you'll ultimately get back.

I hope you have not been betting on Jones going.
That would be good away to chuck money away.
