Great fight but became uncomfortable viewing towards the end.  Should've been stopped sooner.
Agreed. When all three commentators want it stopped, it shows how hard that fight was.

Corner should've stopped it a while ago. Maybe because Wardley is undefeated they felt like they couldn't?

Poor decision for their own fighter's safety.

One of the most brutal fights you will ever see. To pick yourself up off the floor twice and then demolish the guy that floored you takes some doing. Wardley so brave but imo was in big danger of being seriously hurt

    First off. What a fight

And who would believe that was the same referee who decided George Groves deserved to be stopped in the first Froch fight

Wardley is going to be struggling a bit today, that was absolutely brutal. He took some serious punishment and i agree it probably should've been stopped earlier.

How on earth did the doctor who checked him at the end of (i think) the 9th, decide he was ok to carry on?

I remember listening to a neurologist doing a talk about the dangers of boxing and have barely watched it since. An incredibly skilful sport but far too dangerous...

Something a bit weird about watching boxing in the nude.

Cracking fight but gutted Dubois won, find him an extremely unlikeable bloke.

Hope Wardley is doing okay. Get a new team to 1. Improve your overall boxing and 2. Pull you out when you are clearly out on your feet and put his safety first.

His sister is not any more likeable. Blame the parents.

Must give credit to Dubois fitness, lasted really well despite being heavier.

Kinda of fight that shortens lives

In case anyone missed it last night, the full fight (minus the adverts between rounds) is on YouTube

Amazing fight. Commend Wardley’s bravery, but his trainer needs to take a long hard look at himself. That should have been stopped 3 rounds earlier. You could see the ref was desperate to step in when he did.

You wonder whether a fighter will ever be the same after something like that.

Hrgovic probably does him, but Dave Allen on points should not be 20/1. Hrgovic has never impressed me and Dave will be well up for it in donny

If you haven't already that is worth having a bite on

Although I think Allen can stop him

Had a nibble, into 17s now... Hrgovic got beat by zhang and can see him going by the same playbook, he doesn't like being walked down and being in donny he isn't going to have dodgy judges

Cracking scrap that one. Gomez Jr comes across as a bit of a helmet though

    Hrgovic beat Zhang.

Im saying I had zhang winning that, hence the comment about judges

I like Allen but people get caught up in him being likeable far too much. He's out of his depth in there this evening and that points win was 20/1 for a reason 😂

So perhaps you should have said "I think that Hrgovic should have lost to Zhang" instead of got beat.

Was just thinking if the corner might step in. Dave won't like that but was pointless to let that go further.

No surprise that Dave Allen completely outclassed.
Hrgovic is rubbish but still a different level to Allen.
Might explain why Allen has now lost 9 fights.

Thing is, Dave Allen is a decent boxer. Of course he is relatable and likeable but he has fought and beat some decent opposition that he certainly wasn't expected to beat.

Seeing talk of Hrgovic vs Itauma. Think that would be a good way to see if Moses is able to step up to the top leagues yet or needs a bit more seasoning. I think he'd win it but he'd probably have to work for it which is no bad thing.

I think Itauma would take out Hrgovic inside three rounds - Moses has ridiculous power, is very mobile and not easy to hit. Is he ready for a title shot? Not yet - but Hrgovic is bang average in my opinion.

Exactly how I see that situation. Usyk is already punching the cash out button and fair play to him. There is a bit of time for Moses to get rounds and I like the Hrgovic fight, there are a few heavyweights he can get in with if they will be willing to be fed to him and a few that will want to fight Itauma now when, as good as he is, is still learning
