Why do bellends still take their shirts off when scoring knowing it’s an automatic yellow card. Must infuriate managers, especially as Boro still have time to equalise and he’d have to play another 30 minutes on a booking.
    Still a ridiculous rule

No idea how Boro are in playoffs, they are rubbish at finishing games off.

Just checked, scored 27 in 7 individual games but only 45 in the remaining 39.

Boro are far too coached to just get it launched it’s crazy

I like Hellberg but everyone has sussed them out. Thought they were superb first half at the Valley when he first came in but haven't progressed the style really

Credit to the way Hull have defended over their play off campaign. They’ve done us a right favour this season so they deserve it.

Boro have been pretty useless considering they were on for automatics

6 minutes since the goal and Boro didn’t threaten the goal once. They’ve probably played about 60 passes since and didn’t get near the goal.

Do you keep a manager that can’t beat a low block?

Well, there you go Middlesbrough are the first team to lose a semi final and a final in the same playoff campaign.

This fills me with confidence that the difference between 19th and the play offs is not a lot. Look at Hull at the Valley.... and we got a point at their place too.

They are not even that good.

I cannot believe that Hull team we beat just a month ago is now a Premier League team.

    Honking final that.

Delighted for them. Will be very interesting to see how they do next year - if they can even get close to avoiding the drop they’d have done well.

    Okay.......

So now Middlesbrough say they are going for legal advice because they didn't know they would be in the Final until last Thursday.....

Championship is a division all about moments
  • Hull: 15 defeats this season. It’s hard to imagine they will survive next season.

Hull should be what we’re trying to emulate. Very similar style. Set-up to counter - they just have proper Championship players and transition quickly. We don’t do that yet but we should be aiming to evolve.

Somehow, Dillon Phillips, Akin Famewo, Semi Ajayi, Mason Burstow and Liam Millar are currently all premier league players!

What a smash and grab job.
Wanted Boro to win as a good mate is a fan and is there.
But Boro don’t half over pass and sideways it constantly. They are so frustrating to watch.

Like against us, tippy tappy but zero end product.

Boro got a second chance and couldn’t take it, Hull probably deserved it over the playoffs but they’ve got some work to do this summer or they could be in for a torrid season next year. Nice problem to have.

Think we all have to be grateful that these play offs were really there for Millwall to come through. They’ll kick themselves they didn’t take this opportunity.

So of the 3 that got promoted we took 8 points from a possible 18, scoring 9 goals in those 6 games.

    Not too shabby really.
