Fair play to Hull. Almost relegated last season and now in the Premier League, and certainly the result the EFL wanted. Shows what can be achieved, and inspiration for the likes of us.1

Can’t believe Hull are in the premier league, we took 4 points off them, anyone could beat them..

Imagine, even Luke Berry managed a goal against them.guinnessaddick said:Can’t believe Hull are in the premier league, we took 4 points off them, anyone could beat them..

If anything Hull getting it done proves we shouldn’t just be satisfied to attempt to stay up, it shows it can still be done.3

Surely you can sue the EFL for their incompetence? They certainly got lucky with todays result. Championship is run like a farce. Your £1000 has been sucked in by the system. As for the playoff final... absolutely gripping. Switched off with 20 minutes to go, and done some "AI" colouring in, complete with tongue sticking out the side of my mouth. The beautiful game.....guinnessaddick said:

Ironic that Hull's very place in the playoffs depended on Boro to get something at Wrexham on the last day.
Millwall, Boro and Southampton will all look on these playoffs with big regrets.
Millwall let Hull back into their tie. Boro were poor today and the keeper gifts the chance for the goal. And Southampton did what they did.
It all worked out a treat for Dean Holden - really happy for him.5 -
Well done Hull, but one of the weakest playoff winners for ages. 73 points and a GD of +4.
I'd have been surprised if that threat of legal action if they lost today came to anything, as the precedent of Luton being reinstated into the EFL Trophy after losing to Swindon has been repeated exactly in the playoffs.1 -

I can tell you now.
Relegated by Christmas!0 -
Didn’t that happen to a few of our fans last year?WRICURKINCAM said:

Yeah but do you really want to go up and end up struggling to get to 20 points, nevermind 40 points. Its all relative to your budgeting and squad quality/depth.Sword65pf said:If anything Hull getting it done proves we shouldn’t just be satisfied to attempt to stay up, it shows it can still be done.

Pass the info along and Boro can appeal. This play off saga goes on......aliwibble said:

Went for a poo at 90+4 ready for extra time 😂😂9

I think it only fair Millwall get a chance to face Hull again, with the winner of that to face Wrexham, to finally decide who goes up15

worst case scenario is you’re back in the championship with parachute money7 -
Very happy for Dean Holden. Top bloke.

Hull followed the Nathan Jones playoff template - zero conceded and a 1-0 win in the final.
They’ve shown what can be achieved at this level with dominating possession or playing exciting attacking football.6 -
Are they still under a transfer embargo this summer then (it was to last for two more windows) or is that gone now they’re out of the EFLs jurisdiction?0
-
What’s not to like. Hull were the only team of the three that deserved it. Southampton obviously not and Middlesboro lost in the playoffs. Well done Hull.5

Shocking game but probably the most fair result given the circumstances1

Weird seeing Dillon Phillips lifting and kissing the championship play off trophy haha1

The money for going up is worth the pain of a shit prem. season, it would sort us out for a long time if it was to happen, cynical I know, but it would be nice to have some clout in the championship again. What I do know is if we did get up we as a fan base would do all we could to help the team succeed, so it wouldn’t be for the want of trying. We’ve done it before, who knows🤷🏻♂️siblers said:

Get our recruitment right and who knows. I doubt it but nobody gave Hull City a snowballs chance this season.Sword65pf said:

I don’t see anyone would have given them a chance based on our game against them a few weeks ago, never say never.ShootersHillGuru said:

Except they do counter with pace and urgency. We don’t. That has to be the aim. Too often thisScoham said:Hull followed the Nathan Jones playoff template - zero conceded and a 1-0 win in the final.

season it was slow with zero creativity on the counter.

I don't know where Hull are structurally and financially, what with recent embargoes and what not, but if I were them I'd use the money to stabilise everything rather than go mad on signings.
If that means relegation there is still parachute money.3 -
Palace safe yet another season. Hull and Coventry racing for the lowest PL points total in history is my guess, with Ipswich not that far off.5

Not sure we’re quite the same level as able to pay a striker 25k a week and spending 4.5M on a wingerSword65pf said:If anything Hull getting it done proves we shouldn’t just be satisfied to attempt to stay up, it shows it can still be done.1
