Are you talking about Michal Zyro?sm said:
You forget our other Polish striker who was also useless.thenewbie said:
As soon as "top scorer" and "Polish" appear in close succession it gives me very uncomfortable flashbacks to Parzyszek, which is probably very unfair of me (especially as Parzyszek has been pretty decent everywhere else) but there we go.Callumcafc said:Another entry from Callum’s summer wishlist: Tomas Bobcek
Top scorer in the Polish league couldn’t save his team from being relegated despite them scoring as many goals as the team who eventually won the league0 -
Very worrying that Apter couldn't even make the bench at Bolton!
Is it attitude? Intransigence/unwinningness to try different things on his part?
Jones had obviously seen enough, as have Bolton.
Tanto clearly L1 at best.
Add in Ahadme to the list and it starts to get scary?
All 3 not good enough for us.
All 3 on long contracts and good wages.
We will probably be stuck with half their wages even if we can loan them out again.
I realise it was needs must at the end of last season but Nathan Jones' player judgement must be under scrutiny and I hope he will be helped a little more with spending whatever budget we have for next season.
Wages are a key issue for us next year and we have at least three higher earning players blocking up the pipe before we even start to improve?4 -
Reading the summer window thread in May and complaining that there’s nothing on it is just bizarre. What do you expect?7

I don’t imagine those three are on crazy wages and if we can loan them out it’ll take some of their wages off the book although likely not 100%.CharltonManor1966 said:Very worrying that Apter couldn't even make the bench at Bolton!

Recruitment has been questionable at times but you’ll never get it 100% right. It was much better in Jan so let’s hope it’s improving and that Jones has learnt the values of loans in

We’ve barely got started mateBraziliance said:This thread is genuinely diabolical.
It's always bad, but this is right up there. 79 pages of utter bollocks.8 -

Unclear if this is background info on his medical background, or some sort of Mystic Meg moment?Ferryman said:1 -
I am so ready. What I have learned is that you either get annoyed by all the bullshit or become an active part of creating it, there is no inbetween. Might update my 'is Darren Pratley in the top half of our midfielders in the last 15 years' chart on here just to really get things goingfenaddick said:

Callum Wilson for a year would be a great signing instead of Dykes … yes salary etc would make is impossible but vast improvement Dykes and Leaburn ( would enable him to have a season away on loan )20

Would imagine he will stay with West Ham in the championship.RonnieMoore said:Callum Wilson for a year would be a great signing instead of Dykes … yes salary etc would make is impossible but vast improvement Dykes and Leaburn ( would enable him to have a season away on loan )3 -
Hasn’t Callum Wilson just signed an extension at West Ham0

Harsh on George, he wasn't the most talented but a hard working kid who gave everything in his 30 appearances in a playoff winning season.Bostonaddick said:
Absolutely true. For as bad as Amdy Faye was for us, he was significantly a better player than a George Lapslie or Anil Kocsoapboxsam said:When naming the worse player that has worned the CAFC shirt, how can any player that was in a Charlton Premier side be named 🤔
Its got to be a player who represented CAFC in the 3rd tier and looked shabby over at least half a dozen games.
If it's one game they may just have been playing with an injury or frighten to fart after a curry the night before.26 -
What is the point of you posting when you argue against yourself in second sentence.RonnieMoore said:Callum Wilson for a year would be a great signing instead of Dykes … yes salary etc would make is impossible but vast improvement Dykes and Leaburn ( would enable him to have a season away on loan )12 -
Unless we sort out our midfield, no point in talking about strikers.RonnieMoore said:Callum Wilson for a year would be a great signing instead of Dykes … yes salary etc would make is impossible but vast improvement Dykes and Leaburn ( would enable him to have a season away on loan )

Notts County playing today so brace yourself for the Iorpenda post18

At least with Ahadme he’s 2 years into a 4 year deal. Will cost us to pay up his contract if we go down that route, but coming to an agreement may be easier.I personally can only see him being loaned out to a league 2 club this season at best. He’s not good enough for league one.3

Jamie Vardy looking to return to
English championship after he suffered relegation in Italy ??15 -
See Ronnie's on form today..😉3

OMG - there's another one as well as Pawel. What have we done to upset Poland?iaitch said:

Abbott and Zyro, while they were both not great on the pitch, feel almost unbeatable for players at either end of our alphabetical order ranking8

Aribo out of contract at Southampton. Will be 30 in a few weeks. On the way down or a classy addition with experience?2

It saves the rest of us having to bother arguing! 🙄stoneroses19 said:

Absolutely loved him when we had him.Valley11 said:Aribo out of contract at Southampton. Will be 30 in a few weeks. On the way down or a classy addition with experience?
But now he looks like he's carrying a bit of extra timber and has lost a bit of pace.
Whenever I have seen him play on Sky this season he has failed to impress.5 -

Only A minute in but really like the look of that Iorpenda26

That’s the problem with ex high profile players, when they reach a slide and are on the way down, they don’t want to accept pay will be relative.NabySarr said:
Unfortunately, he will be asking for a wage we cannot afford I’d imagineValley11 said:Aribo out of contract at Southampton. Will be 30 in a few weeks. On the way down or a classy addition with experience?
He was good but not sure now,,,1 -
I always hate these worst player debates.
I agree noone who played for us the Premier League should be mentioned.
In terms of Leon Best and Michal Zyro both were very injury prone when joining us and were better than L1 had they been fit. Iirc Zyro netted a couple of times for us including a tidy finish against Plymouth.3
