He’s already done that. It’s the Finals where we might struggle.Athletico Charlton said:Laddick01 said:Without it being a World Cup year I think he’d be favourite for the Ballon D’or.

Imagine how good he could have been if he didn’t play for Millwall 😲7

Quote from the Grauniad article:
"For reasons not entirely clear, YouGov runs a Harry Kane popularity tracker. Somehow, 10% of respondents said they actively dislike him and 26% were neutral. Unless 10% of the UK population are Arsenal fans, how did such a chunk of people acquire an antipathy to someone who goes about his work with so much diligence and class?"
I think it sums up where we are today. A chunk of the population are just fairly horrible people, who resent anyone (particularly ordinary working class people) doing well or having a bit of luck.
Or 10% of the UK population are Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish...12 -

I think it would be a PSG player if they win the CL, Kvaratskhelia maybe.Laddick01 said:Without it being a World Cup year I think he’d be favourite for the Ballon D’or.
But yeah World Cup will probably change that.0 -
H. Kane (55', 80', 90'+2 pen) - a thing of beauty
I love Harry Kane.
Prayer to the football gods:
Can he do that in The World Cup Final please?
🙏 Please please please

There are lots of people I dislike, but I don't do anything much about it

Setting aside football, and some of the complete numpties who follow it, he strikes me as a thoroughly decent family man.9

1000th comment. Kane to score a hat-trick in the final to win World Cup for England 😀0

Taking the time and trouble to respond to a survey with a negative?IdleHans said:

When a player is as good as Kane, people have such high expectations that when he has a good game people expect it and take it for granted but when he has a slightly sub par game people overreact and go into meltdown. We will no doubt see the latter at the World Cup if he doesn’t score every single game1

Harry Kane with the Bundesliga top scorer trophy….

The impressive thing he’s done in a pair of Skechers.0

Why is the Trophy modelled on the Arsenal badge?0 -
Don't think I've ever liked a player who doesn't play for Charlton as.much as I like this man.
Really nice guy, perfect family man who is never on the front page not to mention a blooming incredible footballer and goalscorer.
Arise Sir Harry Kane one day. Hopefully.21 -
I would have him knighted already. The true sporting greats can absolutely compete with a Sir in front of their name - in fact it feels right.
Sir Lewis Hamilton does.
So should Sir Harry Kane.7 -
He is the best England striker I have seen since 1966.3
-
It's ridiculous how far ahead Kane is of anyone else as England's record scorer.
Kane has 84 in 118 games
Rooney had 53 in 120 games.
Charlton 49 in 106
Lineker 48 in 80

84 in 118 is insane.1

Saw every side of Kane today. His tendency to try and buy fouls when there is no need to do so, but then two fantastic finishes showing that he shouldn't need to do the other nonsense.9

He is not just the best english centre forward, I'm struggling to think of a better England player ever.
We have had some that have made huge impacts and moments but nobody as consistently high performing, talismanic, a leader in every sense of the word, a truly sublime footballer. As long as he is on the pitch we are in games and a threat. Over 80 goals for his country! Always shows up and has actually redefined the centre forward role in the modern game of 1 up front and 2 wide inside forwards6 -
He's in the conversation, but personally i wouldn't put him above (Sir) Bobby Charlton, the only english player to win the league, European Cup, World Cup and the Balon D'or.0
-
Just a penalty merchant.Probably not even in the top 5 all time World Cup scorers9
-
Some nine years since the question was posed, we've gone beyond answering that one. Not just better than Shearer but the GOAT forward and should we win this WC, he will be the GOAT, full stop. Simply because no other player will have single-handedly carried a team to win the biggest international trophy.Addick Addict said:Will be/is already better than Shearer? Discuss.2 -

I absolutely love Harry Kane.
There was at least one person on here, if not more that wanted Kane out of the England team not that long ago.5 -
He’s not bad for a one season wonder1
-
The thing the I like best about Kane is he has wrung every last drop out of the talent he was given. He’s not blessed with incredible pace, athleticism, or natural skill like some of his compatriots at the top or the current World game, but he’s clearly worked tirelessly at every facet of his game to make himself as complete as he can be. No silly controversies in his personal life, feet on the ground, family man - I see him as kind of Football’s equivalent of Andy Murray. If by some miracle we do win this tournament, no one can really argue he doesn’t deserve it.11

Useless Millwall mug 🙄2
