    Get him on a long contract and a loan to league one with jacko is a no brainer, he aparently wanted him last year. Kanu and Mbick could be our strike force for years to come from a couple of years

    Maybe 2/3 years out but i'd like to think it were possible. Even if just to seee ronnie complain even more every week as TC, Kanu and Mbick play together successfully with Leaburn also in the squad lol

    End of the season stuff, gets people playing after a long season of SBC's. I unlocked Azeez today who is 90 rated. The normal Kanu card is only a 63.

    Going off his Instagram Kanu seems to be doing sprint training with someone who represented Team GB at U20 level. Kanu is no slouch but if he could get even quicker he’d be very dangerous

    Despite the step-up, he seems to have more attributes to play the support striker than TC who has never been prolific. I cant remember any goal droughts.

    I would assume he is going to be offered an extension.  The question is will he sign it.  He can be the main guy at a league one club or just another loan out every year guy with us.

    He will have all of August to make a mark before the window closes and we can change our options.

    He really clicked last year at that level. I'd like to see him take a loan until January in league 1. If he steps up then he'll have serious promise.

    Aparently jacko wanted him in the last window, but we were stalling on whether we were going to let him out on loan or not, so they moved on. Would expect him to go there this season of he signs a new contract

    I imagine we can offer him more than any other League One club.

    Kanu’s best attributes are his work rate and press though, he doesn’t need a loan to focus on developing those. If that’s all he needed then he’d already be playing for us because he’s probably our best striker at pressing from the front. 

    He’d be much better off going to a team that’s going to have more of the ball to develop the other areas of his game and get better technically and with his link up play, those are more his weaknesses. A team at the top end of league 1 that’s going to get the ball to him plenty would be ideal 

    I get that’s it’s nice if our players go to Jackson but Wimbledon is not a good club to send an attacker too, they’ll be in for another very tough season next year

    He will have a month to play for us before he needs a loan deal in the August window.. I think he may have an impact for us.

    Two other good options could be Leyton Orient (if Wellens stays). He seems to know how to get the best out of strikers even when the team aren’t performing. Or Wycombe with Mike Duff who turned May into the striker he is and got Wycombe playing some good stuff last season. 

    The main point I’m making is that I think the manager is the most important thing for Kanu.

    Would leave us with 10 forwards next season. Obviously Dixon and Ahadme are easy disregards. 

    But he’s not getting rid of Kelman, Dykes or Godden (if they sign) he obviously loves TC, clearly wants Mbick enough to say not to cash in on him for 5M and reinvest. That’s already 5 forwards

    leaves Kanu Tanto and Leaburn. Tanto will be very difficult to shift after his Stockport stint wages and fee we paid for him. So likelihood that’s already 5/6 ahead of Kanu a good pre season can change a lot but it would take some doing to get himself into contention

    If he doesn’t sign a new deal (or we don’t have a secret clause like with Leaburn) he’ll be sold. I’d love him to sign one and be given a chance in preseason

    I don’t understand some of our support who believe Daniel won’t ever be a success at Charlton (arguably under some measures he is already a success).
    If not being impressed with his trajectory so far doesn’t get to people, then why have an academy at all?
    The same goes for a number of others who come through too. We are blessed to have all of them.
