Yeah I reckon scouts of the world will jump out of their seat saying if he can do against Zimbabwe of all sides we best stump up the cashMillwallFan said:
Should add another million or two on his price tag 🤑😁fenaddick said:

Also just guessing but at £110 a ticket or whatever and a quoted sell out of 27,000, it would be interesting to see the Unity Cup accounts….lordromford said:
Fotmob showing 27000 too. Looking on the highlights, there were clearly only a couple of thousand there at most.golfaddick said:
BBC website giving the attendance as 27000JohnnyJoeyDeeDee said:Probably about 1200-1500 people in here. A few players I recognise. No Bonne to boo. Azeez has scored already.
Not sure what the reason for this inflated figure is. Maybe the club have sold 27000 seats to whoever the organisers are and they haven’t managed to offload many, but because we sold them, it counts? I dunno, just guessing!
From about 6 posts above yours...
I took a look into who is behind it via the Companies house website. One of its directors has a pretty strong internet presence as he is head of Nigerian State television, NTA. The other (Andrew Howes) has past or current involvement in 10+ other organisations but little to no info on him on the internet.

Ticket prices definitely seem like an issue, I’d also say the teams not bringing their best players is another. If the four or five players we have in the Jamaica squad were featuring, and the tickets were more reasonably priced without having to faff around with discount codes I would have been inclined to go along as I’m sure many other Charlton fans may have been.follett said:These discounts are great but so silly, a joke if you’ve paid full price. Just charge £25 in the first place4 -
Rumour is we’re holding out for 30, because of his age and the length of time left on his contract. Seems a lot to me but what do I know.guinnessaddick said:

Dixon starts for Jamaica tonight1

"My wife has gone to The Valley to see the game between India and someone"
"Jamaica?"
"No, she went of her own ..."
I'll get my hat12 -
Seems bonkers to play the game at the home ground of a club that has a number of Jamaican players.......and then not select them.

It’s a B team squad for a B team competition. Suspect we politely ask they not playgolfaddick said:Seems bonkers to play the game at the home ground of a club that has a number of Jamaican players.......and then not select them.

Thought I'd turn on the stream for a bit, the Curbs stand is being treated to some Reggaeton, not a single blanket or flask of tea in sight4

If the whole thing wasn't a joke already, the official stream has been taken out by a copyright strike. Poor game though. The footballing brains of most of the players on the pitch seemed to be lacking. I think Dixon looked a step ahead of most of them but that isn't saying much4

Dixon has scored Jamaica's second but as mentioned, the stream is down0
-
My stream is ok......but that's because I've been drinking a lot more fluids this week due to the heat.fenaddick said:Dixon has scored Jamaica's second but as mentioned, the stream is down

Does that make Dixon the first Charlton player to score an international goal at The Valley?4

Happy for Kaheim and all that, but can we get some food pics going please?!?!?!?!0

I think the first team played the second team in a pre-season friendly in the 50s or 60s. Presumably one team used the away dressing room.fenaddick said:
You'd think so. I think he's also probably the first Charlton player to use the away dugout/dressing room toosam3110 said:Does that make Dixon the first Charlton player to score an international goal at The Valley?1 -
Probably better they get some rest instead of a completely pointless friendly for couple of thousand people.fenaddick said:

🤔India were truly awful (apart from no7 who was an ok creative midfielder) . Not sure they have played football together before last night.
Dixon had some flashes (had 2/3 chances to score, hitting the post on one chance and scored) but still seems too lightweight. Needs to work on strength.1 -
The Indian FA is a total mess at the moment and the team all over the place. I know cricket is by far the main sport but football is still very popular, it’s embarrassing for a country of 1bn + to consistently be outplayed by much nations with only a few million people.1

Prices for the final day are now £38 for adults, £10 for kids..... Much closer to what they should have been in the first place but I'd be demanding a partial refund of I've already paid 80 odd for a ticket.
Organisers really made a mess of it and some people are blaming the club, honestly hope we don't host it again7 -
I said earlier it was like the apprentice tv show all over.twiggyaddick said:Prices for the final day are now £38 for adults, £10 for kids..... Much closer to what they should have been in the first place but I'd be demanding a partial refund of I've already paid 80 odd for a ticket.

Tickets ‘heavily’ discounted for the final!Shame they didn’t make it £20 per adult ticket and just get more fans in!0

Shambles of an event and now trying to get money back just over 2 days before Finals day by now dropping the prices to a level they should have been in the first place

They have always been, nepotism and corruption.follett said:The Indian FA is a total mess at the moment and the team all over the place. I used to go out there every 6 weeks to work for two weeks you could watch the Prem from 12.30 [GMT] right through to the days last match. That was when we were in the Prem.0 -
£38 - what on earth...

From the outset the correct price to entice a Charlton supporter should have been set at a tenner, obtainable by a promo code that no one could miss.
Followers of the nations involved, the same, with promo codes distributed accordingly.
Base price of all seats twenty quid. Young kids £1. Older kids £5.
The rug pull of second string players having been selected would still have felt like a cheat.
Hopefully no one at CAFC was behind the wider marketing or pricing - alarm bells would be ringing loudly.

They’re GIVING tickets away now!Just had an email ‘As a loyal supporter who has already bought tickets, we will be offering you another free ticket for the Finals for every ticket you have bought. Bring others along with you and let’s all have something to cheer!
If you are not able to accept the free matching ticket, then we will offer you a ticket for Unity Cup 2027.’9 -
Tue/Wed were about testing the appetite of the premium hospitality crowd for football.
Now, heading into Saturday, the organisers are focused on filling two stands for the cameras and pushing for a 27,000 sell-out at The Valley.
