Dean Holden’s last XI before he was sacked:

Given what he had available that’s not too bad? Though appreciate the kids were very young.
A lot of inexperience there though really. Only three of those players have gone on to play regularly in The Championship, two of them with us.

A poor team performance today, which doesn't reflect well on Holden. Yes we have a poor side and squad, but we were outplayed by Accrington, a team built on a tiny tiny budget.
Always liked Holden. Just shows how far we've come under the current owners and Jones!

Agreed. Think hes excellent as an assistant being the bridge between the players and the manager and a good coach. But ultimately not right for the top job due to being too close to the players and not good enough tactically. Glad he's doing well up in Hull.
He'd probably be perfect as assistant to NJ funnily enough, the good cop half of the routine and the more laid-back balancing act to Jones’s manic energy. Though this takes nothing away from Fleming who is doing that job very well at present of course.
Going to disagree slightly. I think NJ needs someone who will push back a bit, I don’t see that being Deanos strength
Yeah, I see Deano thoughtfully and logically and calmly putting his point of view and NJ not hearing as he bounces off the walls.
