To be fair, I don't think he is wrong. TC has been overplayed and shoehorned into positions that don't suit him, just so he can be on the pitch. Don't think it's unfair to say that hasn't helped TCHenry Irving said:

His user name on here, before he was banned, was Colin Sams.
It's also the name he uses on multiple other sites where he spouts similar nonsense and brags about being a troll.
PS strange that you decided to make this your first comment on this site after joining three years ago.9 -

Obessed? No, he just doesn't have another pacy wide forward to rotate with TC.10 -
Exactly. Being ruthless means selling popular players, ones which NJ feels that are expendable, especially if they might be attractive to other clubs but aren't at the heart of his plans. As I previously noted, NJ was "ruthless" two summers ago when he sold player of the season Alfie May, and was happy to do so.Henry Irving said:
I'm not so sure that "ruthless" means just getting rid of unwanted players.Southbank said:
Ruthless means primarily ditching the dross, Ahadme, Olaofe, Apter, A Mitchell etc, not having them hanging around the first team squad like a bad smell. The youngsters can be loaned out unless there is a very big fee for them (very unlikely).CharltonManor1966 said:
So if Jones is going to be ruthless to keep us in the division, he could possibly sell Kanu, Leaburn and TC to help with the PSR and maybe go for broke with championship quality and experience............ just saying.....?shine166 said:
Literally this, we wasted millions last year and almost everyone will have to be loaned out until contracts expire. We dont have too many saleable assest and something has to give.Redhenry said:Don't know if it's been mentioned, but selling Kanu is pure profit for PSR rules.
If we are spending more than last year I would be selling Kanu, if we can get close to a mill.
The standard in League 2 is miles away from Champ, we need at least 4/5 upgrades on last seasons starting eleven...
I suspect it means moving on players who've done well for us and some from our academy as well as those signings who've not cut the mustard.
The flops are the hardest players to move on anyway, as they'll be on Championship wages, but not up to Championship football, so very hard to shift. Championship clubs won't want them, while L1 clubs might want them, but won't be prepared to pay their current wages. Unless Apter, Tanto and Ahadme are prepared to take a significant pay cut to permanently move on, we'll have to keep loaning them out, but paying a significant chunk of their wages. So not great for our finances.

I don't comment on Ronnie Moore's posts but if I agree I will like them. If I disagree I ignore them.
This is an open forum so, as long as it's not offensive, people can write what they like. Agree, disagree, think it's a load of crap, that's personal taste, but I do think, to some people, they feel it's ok to take the piss out of him.
I'm sure if admin felt he overstepped they would ban him.
That's my view feel free to agree or disagree or think it's a load of crap.10 -
I mean, you're half right. I do always wonder why people engage with his posts because he posts them exclusively to get a reaction. And every time people react. Whether it's overtly nicking an online rumour and presenting at as insider knowledge, repeatedly putting down an academy player or deliberately praising a player in a game where he obviously had a poor one it's all done for attention. If people don't like it the best thing is to just not react. If he didn't get likes, lols and replies he wouldn't post. A lot of people can't help themselves or actually enjoy having someone there to get annoyed by. Ultimately though he's a troll who comes on here only to annoy other posters so I don't think he needs people running on here to defend him, if your only purpose is to irritate then you're not the victim of bullying when people call you out on it. Personally I skip every post and would prefer if he just melted off but it is absolutely ok to take the piss out of a troll.southamptonaddick said:I don't comment on Ronnie Moore's posts but if I agree I will like them. An internet troll is a person who deliberately posts inflammatory, off-topic, or provocative messages online. Their primary goal is to "bait" users into emotional arguments, disrupt conversations, or cause chaos for the troll's own amusement.
Ronnie on another Charlton Forum a few years ago posted to say "he only posts on Charlton Life to wind people up".
He has admitted to being a troll himself. Not sure why people pay any attention to the bloke. Not really any point arguing or talking about his posts (although of course I just have!)
Back to ignore mode.
Anyway, sorry to derail and hopefully back to rumours...

His recruitment, even outside ex-Luton players has been poor. His most expensive signing, a striker with 7 goals is marmite. He has spent millions on players who have been dropped, injured, or out on loan. From his current signingsSuccess

I think we’re still way too early to be expecting much to happen. Players are still away or just returning from holidays and so are managers and coaches. Players are under contract until 30th June I think so even those released or out of contract will be getting paid until then. Why sign someone and pay them 10k per week before you need to even if negotiating is taking place. Not saying we might not see something happen but I think the bulk of the transfers will take place in July earliest.Charlton43 said:Surely there will be some movement next week3 -
Think this is going to be a slow starting window with the World Cup and players that might have been available early in previous years being held back to cover preseason tours etc that the WC players will miss.5

A forum is about having different personalities and a variety of opinions. Every football forum has its trolls. Most are only being negative. What I like about Ronnie is that sometimes he is a positive troll. He is always going to be contrarian so when the forum is mad at a player/NJ/the club, sometimes he plays the opposite and raves about the player - like his current love affair with Coventry. Part of the reason I like this forum is the variety. You have Golfie who is the negative Nancy, trolls like Ronnie, various poster who are on here to make you laugh, the serious football analyst types and someone like Airman who focuses on the business side. I wouldn’t want it any other way.5

Need to factor agents into the equation. They’ll generally want to leave it as long as possible before their client commits to see if anything better materialises.NabySarr said:

Yes games like QPR, Sheffield United, Ipswich (A), West Brom, Coventry he’s done fantastically but also opposed to that Ipswich (H), Pompey x2, Stoke he’s had some absolute howlers.
Kaminski hasn’t been awful like and Isted, Mcgillvray level, he’s been an average championship keeper but when you take into account he’s the highest paid player by quite some way, the expectations and career he’s had coming into the club I think hes underperformed, maybe flop is a harsh word but I was expecting a top keeper2 -

If it was not for Kaminski we would have been bottom three … even v Hull made two excellent saves to see us home ….. all season made excellent saves to keep us in gamesI-SAW-POUSO-PLAY said:Kaminski cannot be deemed a flop. People have small memories about some of the games he kept us in. Sheffield United at home being the one that sticks out the most.

And this is your problem, because whilst he's paid more than our League 1 players, yes, by comparison he isn't on "top keeper" wages in the league, he's more middle of the road, bang average wages, and when you look at that and look at where we ended up in the table compared to other clubs keeping as many clean sheets as he did, he's a bit of an outlier.Crispywood said:

You can claim that none of that is him and it's all his defenders in front of him, but that's bollocks.
He's an average keeper for this level and one of the least of our concerns this summer9 -
Lets hope gough comes on for last year. Thatll be like a new signing. Looked solid to me. Also fullah.Collins also like a new signing if staying fit.1

I was there for that one .. biggest memory is Dave McKay pulling Harry Gregory's hair as Gregory was always right in McKay's face as he tried to take long throw ins .. instant red card nowadays of course .. also a Hinton shot crashing into the bar, the ball rebounding thirty feet into the air and then falling right into Charlie Wright's arms, one of the greatest games I ever saw at the Valley.. if I remember we finished third that season, no play offs in those days .. Derby of course managed by Brian Clough, Charlton by Eddie Firmani .. 2 VERY VERY good teamsRonnieMoore said:
