     But the current trend is for players to wear their socks low / as short socks so you’ll never see the hoops! 
    I’d like to see us have black socks.

    Not for me - red shirts, white shorts and black socks is a Manchester United thing for me.

    Started watching when we had black socks (85) then we went to white socks for a number of years (old first division at Selhurst) so the change to red socks always felt a bit weird but I’m now used to them.

    Anyway, no to hoops. Performative nonsense.

    Looks like he has made a hole in the right one, maybe to relieve calf strain? And these modern players thing they're doing something new.
