Claridge shinning in a last minute winner was almost worth seeing us lose in the '94 semis.

It doesn't matter how many they've won, they can never be the first-ever winners.

One FA Cup, one Community Shield and one European trophy (whose name I have already forgotten).  That's a pretty good stash of trophies for any club, no matter how horrible they are.

(Although in their case, it's only one cup every hundred years or so).

Inter Toto Cup, is the name you’re looking far

Inter toto is Latin for ‘between death’

Dark times. When Wengers Arsenal were cleaning up, I worked with a Spurs fan and our Gooner boss would gently wind him up about their relative success and/or lack of it. I said he was better off supporting Charlton as unlike Spurs, our two main rivals had about the same chance (not much in those days) as us of winning anything significant . Well, that comfort blanket has gone now, at least the ball didn't burst on Wednesday*, we can cling to that.

*Not in the 30 seconds I watched anyway.

'96, Claridge and Millwall's Christmas ferry impression made it a decent season bar the semi.

Apologies, you are correct.  For personal reasons I should have got '96

So terms have agreed in principle with Pierre Sage - a three-year deal with the option of a fourth year. Nothing personal but I hope he is a complete and utter unmitigated disaster!

    Couldn't agree more.
(But sadly looks like a very decent appointment to me).

Another example of the pull that the Premier league has.

This guy has just won the French cup and taken Lens into the Champions league and he'd prefer to leave to manage a bottom half PL team.
