Willy Boly, who had been ‘Linked’ to us a month or two back, has been released by Forrest!
    Isn't he a bit of a dick?

Dennis Cirkin is on free from Sunderland, had some injury issues, but would be a very good option at LWB

Would expect he'll have most of the league after him if he can prove his fitness.

Not surprised to see him making his way back to a decent level pretty quick, really classy player is Jason.
Really pleased to see this. And not at all surprised.

I remember watching a few youth games on Charlton TV when Anderson and Adigun were in midfield and Adigun looked by far the better player. Always surprised we never gave him more of a chance.
At under-18 level Adigun was my top pick to progress in the game.  When we released him I was humbled and doubted my own insight. Now I realise I am very far-sighted and can step out today with a spring in my step!

i too was surprised we let him go as he cartainly had something about him and i am glad he's working his way back up.  Clear case of taking a step back to go forwards.
Maybe there was something behind the scenes that led to his departure or outside influences clouding his judgement.

Good luck to him.  Not the most physical but definitely has a decent football brain on him

On another note I see Johl Powell signed for Yeovil yesterday - his biggest club since leaving us I think.  I always rated him so another to keep an eye on

And if he can't, we'll sign him.

Interesting thing about Johl Powell apart from him being a huge Charlton fan is that he played at right back mostly for our youth teams, his last club moved him into an attacking midfield role and he’s scored 40 odd goals in 2 years

Ronnie Moore boasts on other forums about how he posts on here for wind-ups.

Someone I know that knew him from work says that he always used to say that he was a Millwall fan.

Just got to realise that the opposite to whatever he says is accurate.
I dont post on any other forum … plus the person your talking I believe says he knows he from a pub (doubt he worked in Barclays where I spent over 22 years )fact I never been to a pub before games mainly due to always travelling to football with a full car ie family and never met this person in question .. so again your information is totally 100% incorrect I have been going to Charlton since 1960,s .. my grandad laid the original drainage at the Valley , first words I spoke was Charlton Athletic  , two relatives have had their ashes scattered in the pitch when that was allowed my cousin supplied and played the records  at the valley for many many years and knows Richard Murray and Varney very well … I was there the famous Thursday night at the old valley club when the club was saved and of course the wet Sunday morning to help clear the valley .. season ticket holder for as long as I care to remember .. got to know Ronnie Moore and Nicky Johns very well and more recently through my involvement with grass roots football for over 12 years with the Charlton goalkeeper coaches at sparrows lane . … my wife was even a Charlton fan before I met her as her great grandad played for Charlton ..not sure why I have to explain all this cause one person spreading lies .. but there no one more a Charlton fan then me and my family I find these untruths an insult to my family .especially my parents who are longer now with after we had a lost last year
None of the above alters the fact that you are an insufferable troll of the first order……end of.

I'd definitely blow a large chunk of the budget to secure Cirkin and Dan Neil... unfortunately I think the whole league would do the same. Would solve two big problem areas though.

Wonder if Nick Pope fancies coming back after the Geordies spent nearly £20m on a new keeper today?  🤷🏻‍♂️😉

Dael Fry, who we were linked with in January, is now being linked with West Ham so I think we might not be seeing him at The Valley in red

Just can't see that being a top priority for us given a limited budget and a high earner that we only bought last summer. Also, I realise both our keepers are not the best but neither are they the worst and surely there must be higher priorities for us for next season?

I see it as if someone who we thought was a genuine improvement and could be obtained for a reasonable amount we'd do it. But it won't be something we pursue over more pressing needs.

Can only see us looking at another keeper if someone comes in for Kaminski and that’s probably not gonna happen

More likely someone comes in for Mannion though. Then we have a tough decision to make between recruiting a no 1 or a backup

I believe great teams have great keepers.*

If we can find and afford a much better keeper we should do it.

    * Brazil 1970 are the exception to this rule.
