I think cast need to get on to the club and explain what the lack of leaks is doing to this thread and the supporter base in general - it's unhealthy. I was in the middle of a 'sporting encounter' on Saturday and a fellow fan walked the length of the 'arena' to ask me if I had heard anything / any rumours (i don't see him that frequently but had passed him quite a bit of info back in the 'glory days' - all i could offer him was no - i couldn't even regurgitate a bit of obscure stuff off of here let alone anything 'real' - he walked away unsatisfied, almost lost, there was nothing i could do.fenaddick said:

Fry has been mentioned since January. However, Boro want to extend his deal. I suspect all of this is agent talk to drive some pressure on them2

I am mystified by this Dael Fry rumour. The bloke played 32 times for Middlesbrough including starting the in playoff final and only missed games due to injury, West Ham are interested and Boro have offered him a new deal. He's out of contract and the reported sticking point at Boro is that he's not one of the highest paid players, so we would be looking to beat West Ham, Boro, Sheff Utd and Burnley if reports are to be believed in offering him the best contract. I'd be amazed.17

I’m sure he’s a Boro fan too. Good player but like yourself I can’t see any hope.Garrymanilow said:I am mystified by this Dael Fry rumour. I’ve heard Fry is off to West Ham0

5 months playing there in a half-empty athletics stadium with restless locals and he will be begging his agent to get him a move to us in the winter transfer window..Covered_End_Lad said:I’ve heard Fry is off to West Ham5 -
Pushing the boat out to Australia could be a bit exhausting though.Swisdom said:As much as we have to trust their judgement the club don't always get it right. Players i personally have recommended to the club in the last couple of years have gone on to do very well.
Irankunda of Watford (at the world cup) suggested when he was still playing in Australia - now valued at €8m
Mohamed Toure at Norwich - suggested when he was still playing in Australia - now valued at €8m
Martial Godo - thriving at Strasbourg. suggested when he was at Dartford playing with their u19s- now valued at €22m
Elliot Stroud - suggested just before Christmas - now doubled in value to €5m
Ali Aza1zeh - with Jordan at the world cup. He was available on a free last summer and wanted £50k a year so his FIFA Club Payment ($150k to $250k for world cup appearances would have covered his outlay and wages for 3-5 years.
Whilst we are good at nurturing our own academy players, there are some incredible talents out there and we, historically, have been a bit blinkered to this - presumably largely down to money. Hopefully this summer sees us pushing the boat out a bit and taking a few chances and exploiting what's out there. The Championship is massively attractive to players because it's more competitive and it pays more. We need to tap into that market a bit

Suspect the list of ‘interested’ clubs has been provided by an agent looking to squeeze more money and/or a longer contract for his client out of…Middlesbrough2 -

If all Dael’s agent can drum up is us, Lincoln & Sheffield U for pressure, then Dael needs a new agent regardless of whether he moves or not!! 🤷🏻♂️😂fenaddick said:Fry has been mentioned since January. Scotland for example.😂Kinsella87 said:Wonder if there are any players from the smaller teams in the WC that we could he looking at.4 -
We need some relatively early signings because we only currently have half a team capable of taking us up the league. Signings in August/September will mean a pretty incoherent start to the season.
I would like/expect to see players coming in through late June/ early mid July so that the structure of the team gets settled during the friendlies.3 -
I think hope our owners are sitting in the exec seats with a shopping list from Nathan and big bags of these handy:-
