Anyone who thinks that's a red card has lost their mind.

Watch the actual clip and not a zoomed in photo.

No intent, looking at the ball, very clearly accidental. Credit to the VAR for actually using common sense.
Another angle was posted on twitter, can see clear intent.

    Fuck him, little Argie rat.

    Hello Cristiano

With Mbappe, Messi and Haaland all doing well, can guarantee Ronaldo will be shooting from everywhere trying to prove he's better.  Could be quite funny.
100%. He'll be taking any free kicks within 35 yards of goal despite there being at least 3 better set piece takers in the team.
He did that in the last tournament, still a cracking player though, but it always has to be about him.

First name on Portugal's team-sheet: Ronaldo
    Second name: Ronaldo's ego.

Good to see Portugal / Martinez's inability to drop Ronaldo
They'd be a serious threat without him, so their inability to drop him for me says they wont get beyond the QFs

That VAR 'decision' yesterday for the penalty France should have had at 0-0, what an absolute shocker.

I find everyone writing Portugal off because of Ronaldo funny, at the end of the day he still knows where the goal is and has scored 8 goals in his last 10 caps.

Also every time he scores, they don't lose, at least not since Euro 2020 against Germany

Portugal are like us. Defence will be their make or break.

I think he'll probably still score some in the first few games given they've got DR Congo, Uzbekistan etc, but if they got through to the later rounds he could cost them.

He was in an offside position, but did the ball go forward?

Just seen the replay, it did go forward only slightly.

Messi at 38 (39 next week) is still unbelievable.
    Me at 42 is useless.

Didn't realise it's now 10 games at major tournaments without scoring for him.

If we don't utterly destroy both of these we're not going far at all in this tournament.

It's like watching a Sidemen charity match, absolutely no footballing talent whatsoever

Even the goal he nearly misses it from 2 yards out!

Quite enjoyed Colombia vs Uzbekistan. Took a bit of a shine to the Uzbeks and felt they deserved something from the game.

The shot they hit the bar with in stoppage time would’ve been goal of the tournament if it had been a couple of inches lower. Absolute rocket of a shot.

Gutted for Uzbekistan, they deserved a draw from that game.

They had an outstanding second half and Colombia were hanging on until the late-late goal.

They did themselves proud and hopefully can grab a point during the group stages.

Portugal have an elite midfield and good full backs but not much else. Centre backs are an issue for them, and they need to figure out their best two wide players.

But when they're hampered by Ronaldo's lack of movement (basically just standing in the area) it's a bit difficult for them. It's no coincidence that their two best wins under Martinez were when Ronaldo didn't play.

Didn’t realise Cannavaro was their manager. One of the best to ever do it.
