Owners cant put in say £18m a season also.
    Why not ?

    They are billionaires
Does anyone know how wealthy the Glikstein brothers were when they bought the club?
By today’s standard of football owners they were just rich local businessmen. I’m guessing millionaires but not super rich. I have no doubt Other lifers will know much better than I do.
how many Range Rovers did they have?

I think there’s one more decent season in Matty Godden. Not starting week in week out but used when needed and off the bench. Get enough ball to him inside the 18 yard box and he’ll do ok.
If there is one of our strikers that you would want the ball to fall to in the box, it's Matty Godden

Sounds positive re: the agent chat.  Hopefully we can move players on to get them over the line asap

Bar a signing or sale being announced on the official site the next indicator might come when we see who has, and crucially who hasn't, made the trip to Slovenia.

I heard that there are player lined up and ready to sign and several are fairly well known players but also there will be a big shift of players moving on….possibly 7 or 8 moving to pastures new
But where did you hear this? Was it when you were talking to yourself?
He heard it from me, the all knowing and all powerful.

    Fact!

When do they leave for that?

4th/5th July they usually travel right after the Dartford game. Players who travel to that may necessarily still leave because at least it keeps them fit and prepared if their move doesn’t happen and we suddenly get an injury crisis

As Henry suggests it’s probably telling to see who doesn’t get on that trip. Yes of course Slovenia is about fitness but it’s also about tactics, shape, set pieces and bonding. Those that don’t make the plane will stay and work on their fitness but Jones won’t see them as crucial to next seasons plan.

Pretty sure every senior player will go regardless. The only person (from memory) not to go last year was Mannion due to injury and possibly Godden too

I don’t think Ahadme or A Mitchell will be going.

Wonder if Oxford sacking Bloomfield and Plymouth signing Wes Harding from Millwall will affect things with Mitchell or if everything is basically done and dusted already with a club for him.

I would say that everyone contracted to us will go to Slovenia. Would give a very negative outlook otherwise.

Unless they are lined up to go elsewhere

Yeah I'd read anyone that's not in Slovenia isn't there because a deal is done/good as done. Would even expect Apter and Tanto there

You’re telling me I might get to see Macca in action one more time?

Even if a player is unwanted, they will still go through pre-season with us, unless they have an immediate move lined up.

It's football "etiquette" that this happens, plus if a player is unwanted AND unfit, you have even less chance of getting rid of them.
