    Transfers please.
Club are waiting on the sale of Jones, Ramsay and TC to fund the womens team's transfers.

Higher division team gets priority and rightly so.
Gavin Carter stated that there would be a £4million budget available.

It should be remembered that the manager has no experience of the top division. An assistant with WSL1 history would be good.

She does - she led Spurs to promotion in 2019, kept them up comfortably in the curtailed 2019/20 season, and was sacked in November 2020, so she had a season and a bit in the WSL. Though you're right that more WSL experience both on the pitch and in the coaching staff would help us.

    Did Carter say that?

Remember reading that £4m was the maximum owners could inject.

The billionaire owner thinks she can buy a successful team. It doesn't always work.

Newsham had successful surgery on her ACL yesterday, so her rehabilitation begins now

When I got mine last month I couldn't download it. I just received it again about an hour ago and I still can't download it so I don't think it's just you. Or at the very least it's both of us

I got a weird email from the ticket office today. It was a receipt for my ticket to the Liverpool game and my season ticket.

I went to ticket office this afternoon. It was a system error. The emails about season tickets will go out in about 2 weeks.

Stupid question number 1547……I really want to get a shirt to commemorate the first season in the WSL. I went to pre order it in my size and I want to have Lobato on the back (🇮🇪). Then I stopped because I thought she might be given another squad number 🤔
What do you think? Should I wait for the squad numbers to come out?

Yes. She was a fringe player at the start of last season until she forced her way into the team.

I think so, the tweet originally came from the WSL themselves, so that is what I am guessing (be a bit 😤 if that isn't the case).

He was just being sarcastic suggesting all the fixtures would be played on 30th July.

That might be usual for the WSL, but it feels really late when the season starts on the first weekend in September

Also surprised but not as disappointed as I’d have been 12 months ago. I didn’t think she had a fantastic season, not helped by Hills deciding needing a midfield was unimportant. I’m expecting us to deploy workhorses a bit like Doc in midfield going forward

Yeah, she had an ability to go missing in games (maybe not helped by the way we played) and had days where it felt like she couldn't do anything right. But she also had some great moments for us, so all the best, Katie.

Does that mean the other players who were offered a new deal (Fitzgerald, Humphrey, Kenney, Mason, N'Dow, Newsham, Pedersen and Ross) are staying?

More likely means they haven't made their mind up like Bradley has

Not all of them. I can't say more.

Could be, but if they're still umming and aahing at this point (though obviously I appreciate it's a big decision for each of them), that's really not ideal for us in terms of our preparation.

I'm basing my logic on what happened last season, when we announced the players who'd turned down new deals in one go (if I remember correctly), and then announced one by one that the remaining players in the group who'd been offered new contracts had agreed to stay.

A shame, she's been an important part of our progression, though realistically she wasn't going to be a regular starter at WSL level. I don't know the ins and outs of it but I'm guessing a lot of these players will be wanting pay rises and probably some guarantees about playing time. If they stay they've earned the former but if we're regularly starting WSL games with Bradley, Fitzgerald, Humphrey and Ross then it's going to be a very long season so they may decide they are looking to play not watch after being told they will go down the pecking order

Of the list we were in negotiations with N'Dow is probably the only one you'd want starting most WSL games, maybe Newsham but obviously she's out long term. Kenney might kick on is still pretty new to the English game
