Doesn't mean that we weren't shit though.
Equally doesnt mean anything either, when you consider Argentina lost 2-1 vs. Saudi Arabia last time round.
Like I say, any England setback and it’s the end of the f**king world lol!
We aren’t going to turn into Argentina and win the tournament though, we are reverting to type
You're sitting there proving my point... One setback with a lot on here and its the end of the fucking world.

Learn more from this than anything else. He’s better than Southgate, just gotta roll with the punches.
    How do you quantify that?

Konsa and Guehi probably had more touches of the ball than any other players and they were mainly passes to each other. That says a lot about the way Englan played.

Draw not the end of the world but what a shit game of football
Annoyingly, Ghana got what they came for. We didnt do enough to win that. Rashford and Saka shouldve been on much earlier
Yep. Very, very annoying. Ghana pretty much 'parked the bus', totally defenced it out'. Stymied England. And they got exactly the result they were gaming up. It was England's to throw away the win. Which they've just gone and done. Phew. Rank poor.

Fair play to that witch doctor though. Can we hire him when we play Millwall?
And make us even shitter ?

Ghana held their shape too well... Kane drops deep, takes the Centre Back with him, and the wide players exploit the gaps.

24 fouls from Ghana there for just the 1 yellow card.

I know representation from different countries is key but that ref killed the game. Played perfectly into Ghana’s plan.

I agree but we were giving away some really stupid fouls as well.

Gave away too many fouls, when he could have let the game flow more, Rashford jumping for the header for example and being penalised... Ghana didn't even need to time waste with the ref helping them out like that

That Rashford header was an insane decision. It's supposed to be a contact sport ffs

Not really, I’ve just intimated it wasn’t good, like others. Based on the two games in comparison to other sides it wasn’t good enough and we look very unlikely to be able to beat the better sides. Nothing different to what I’ve said prior to the tournament, we are bang average.

I still expect us to top the group. Can’t agree more with the comments about the ref. Shame that Saka isn’t fully fit (or Rashford?); would start with both of them on Saturday.

Not sure it’s on him really. He did drop deeper than even he usually does but very little for him to work with.

Ghana were very well organised but we played into their hands by playing far too slow. No coincidence we only looked like scoring when Saka and Rogers started to move the ball quicker and actually drive into the box. I’d be up for playing Rogers out wide as Tuchel did in the warm-up games.

I'll give Ghana credit, they did exactly what they should have done against a side with the players in like we have. They defended well, killed the momentum, if they were wearing charlton shirts we would all be giving them credit.

I was disappointed with Eze, its his opportunity to really stake a claim and make a cade for himself. He was ponderous and weak.

Konsa got away with one, seen penalties given for much less than that. Given hiw chaotic the referee was I am happy he chose that moment to be inconsistent

I really like O'Reilly he does everything with intent

I hate to say I told you so but i could pick this out as a nil nil a mile away. I do not blame us, or Ghana. They would need their heads testing if they came out and tried to attack us.

I do think any other side in the tournament would’ve struggled against that shit.

541 with your striker playing in a position usually occupied by a CM.

It’s horrible, horrible football that gets them through to the knockout stage. We needed a moment of magic and it’d have been game over - we didn’t get it.

I’d still fancy us against any actual footballing side.

The offside was AFTER the foul though. Weird decision

Well Spain drew against shit and lost their opener when they won it. Argentina lost against Saudi and won it.

The reaction doesn’t level the outcome. If anything Tuchel will learn more. When he won the CL with Chelsea I know they didn’t win convincing every single game.

Amazed VAR didn’t refer the ref to the screen. Konsa nowhere near the ball, took out the man. Got away with one.

That was for what followed after the incident, either way the initial play wasn’t offside.

Ref analyst on BBC just said exactly this.
