First weekend tv selections are out and we are a 3pm kick off

Hopefully sky remember how boring we are to watch and put us on the minimum amount across the season

Not the best image for a flyer/print screen, sadly. The fixtures should stand out easily, but reading white font on a blurred white background in the middle and left sections is harsh on the eyes!

I don't love the following, but some users might find it more readable!

    Bravo

Weird how Norwich away has twice been allocated to the Christmas period, Boxing Day last season, 29th this season. At least I can make the 29th.
It’s on purpose. They’re deemed as a “nearby” team, the EFL try to minimise travel over the festive season
But why not Millwall, QPR or West Ham instead?

    Burnley
    Wrexham
    Bolton
    Birmingham

All midweek away. What fuckwit at the EFL decides these are ‘fair’.

And Swansea away on New Years Day when there is likely no transport….
I'm with you on Burnley, Wrexham and Bolton, but Birmingham is about one of the fairest mid-week games we could have had!

Only one of the other three London clubs or Watford would have been an easier journey.

To avoid anything that can be classed as a derby. QPR in particular seems a silly one to avoid

West ham away and im on holiday in Greece

We get back from holiday that day (not in time). Hopefully, as it's WHUs first home league game and a London derby of sorts, it will get moved to a Sunday for TV??

Very possible. There usually is one Sunday fixture most rounds of games which we avoided them last season but wouldn’t be surprised if this one gets moved to Sunday.

Even worse as the Marathon is on both days so will probably have to be switched. Friday night perhaps?
It would have to be moved anyway and Friday night is no good, it’s FA Cup semi-final weekend, we will be at Wembley…
  • Second game in is a good time to be catching West Ham

Hopefully I'll be able to find a bar in Kos to see the game

Would have preferred to have played one of the relegated teams after the August transfer window shuts, but it is what it is

Just noticed that West Ham v Millwall is on the same day as our home game v Cardiff (Feb 20th).
I can see those fixtures being messed about with 🫣

Both West Ham v Millwall games will almost certainly be moved to midday Sunday.

Does seem like there is more home midweek games than usual, maybe I am wrong and that’s before Sky etc get involved.

    Thirteen midweek fixtures:

    WBA (A)
    QPR (H)
    Burnley (A)
    Bolton (H)
    Lincoln (H)
    Wrexham (A)
    Norwich (A) (over Xmas break)
    Bolton (A)
    Burnley (H)
    West Ham (H)
    Birmingham (A)
    QPR (A)
    WBA (H)

Pretty sure this is exactly the same number as last season.

That's a shame I was thinking of running the marathon having a few at the pub , go watch Charlton then back to the pub to celebrate.
Will be moved cause the marathon over two days next year

West Ham could well play us with a number of players that will leave 10 days later. Good players who can hurt you like Bowen

Fair enough. Six at home seems more than usual. Maybe I am mistaken.

Alternative view. West Ham won’t play their star players to avoid injury but won’t have replaced them yet. Relegated teams sometimes take a month or two to gel and get used to the division too

Decent but testing start against 2 sides probably similar to us, perhaps a wee bit stronger ? .. Then the 'Ammers who will surely undergo lots of personnel changes in the close season .. last season we got away to a decent start, it's important we do the same come August
