No worries, and as ever, thanks for sharing! From what others have just posted it sounds like it’s the entire playing budget, wages, and the yearly instalments of transfer fees. I suppose it means little unless we know what it was last year. If it was £20m last year then that’s not so good.21cws said:
All I got told was the figure for budget. Not sure if that is just fees or wages also. They are someone I trust. So we shall seeSouthLincsAddick said:
What does this supposed £18m figure relate to? Is it additional player budget funds compared to last season? It can’t be just transfer fees as they are spread over the duration of the contract and if we signed someone on a free they would likely be asking for more wages, £20k a week (an average wage in the Championship) is £1m a year, the same cost as paying a transfer fee of £3m on a 3 year contract. You cannot split transfers fee from wages, they are from the same pot.21cws said:
I’ve heard the same figure 6 weeks agoNabySarr said:
Other than Ronnie Moore, who says it’s £18m so we’ve got loads of moneyPelling1993 said:
Think that was said last summer too. There's no chance anyone on an internet forum actually knows what our budget is.Charlton43 said:Sounds like we ain’t got no dough going off the other forum …What is it in relation to the rest of the Championship, there must be accurate figures from clubs financial results we could get a rough comparison.3 -
False info being spread … the 3 mill to run the women’s team does not come out of the men’s transfer budget.. the two teams are run totally separate … both have their own transfer budget as well

We base too much importance on other club’s budgets in relation to ours, we are where we are, no point wasting time on the opposition, we have enough to worry about as it is…🤷♂️1

Last year budget was the 12 mill we got for going up also TV money that has been increased this season ..SouthLincsAddick said:

For a club like ours to be successful we need to do what Coventry did. A lot easier said than done quite obviously but you need to sign a few players that turn out to be superstars that sell for big money. You can then financially compete with the bigger spenders.7

Sheffield United have just sold winger Andre Brooks for around £9m. They’ve been interested in TC previously, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s still on their list4

They are collecting Tirese Campbell’s apparently.NabySarr said:Sheffield United have just sold winger Andre Brooks for around £9m. They’ve been interested in TC previously, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s still on their list8 -
How do you know that? Or is it just supposition. I post on there and I don’t post fiction. This inter forum rivalry gives me the real hump.Laddick01 said:

Wait, are you saying you spent some time with her or her 2 page spread?blackpool72 said:cfgs said:
She might have been stunning.Oh Eddie Youds... said:Blimey. This thread really has reached a new low now.
She was.
Back in the 70's i worked at Cosmos house in Bromley Common.
Most people there were women, (i enjoyed working there).
Anyway one of the girls done a two page spread for Mayfair magazine.
This was in the days magazines were all you had.
Anyway we had a good time together and then it finished.
She then went out with Ray Wilkins for a couple of months and I met him a few times.
He was a really good bloke.
The only spread he sees now is when he's buttering his toast.

Without being dismissive, I don’t really recognise you as a poster. In that case, apologies.raytreacy said:

Rest is fiction.Obviously there are some decent posters on there, but there is a massive amount of absolute waffle and fiction. It’s not a rivalry etc, it’s just insane to me that grown men find satisfaction from making up rumours and acting ‘ITK’5 -

Anyway, Parker or Bowyer are being lined up as replacements for NJ....11

I have heard Jones is going down a more old fashioned route and writing his transfer targets down on the back of a cigarette packet. Our new number 9 Tony Benson and number 10 Paul Hedges.Laddick01 said:

The same person posting rumours saying we have no money and have done a budget u turn is also saying they think the owners aren’t in it for the long haul and want to flip the club. The owners are making a £17m loss a year. There’s no chance they make a profit on their original price accounting for that. Our owners are successful businessmen. Successful business men don’t buy football clubs to flip for profit. Take it with a pinch of salt and see how things progress over the next month6
-
I’m pretty sure our ownership will continue to put up the cash to hopefully strengthen they ain’t going to invest what they have and risk going down due to under investment. However I do wonder if we are actually looking to sign players too far up the pyramid and not having much success which hopefully doesn’t mean we end up with our 3/4th choices at the end of the window0

It was this bit of that rumour of all the doom, that just made me chuckleSwisdom said:

Ah yes, the great idea of a team that struggles to create any chances selling their only player that creates chances from open play. Thankfully Nathan Jones isn’t that stupid and will be desperately trying to persuade TC to commit his future here, hopefully he manages tooblackpool72 said:
