Imagine being a new user of this forum and reading this thread. 164 pages of drivel and insults, a few gems, and, what, two actual rumours, neither of which have any legs.
    Legs have gone.

What happened to the Ross Graham/Will Ferry Dundee Utd double swoop? Was that nonsense or from an 'in the know'?
Those two plus Mark Sykes would be a solid start to summer recruitment.

Probably a mistype and were talking about getting the Woolwich Ferry.

Can anyone remember how many pages on here we got up to last Summer before the first signing actually happened.
How many will it be this year . I'm going for about 450.

This transfer window is basically the world’s worst attempt at house hunting.

Charlton swagger in saying we're finally ready to buy a castle — turrets, moat etc — only to spend six chaotic weeks panic‑viewing one‑bed flats with mould, arguing over whether the seller will throw in a rusty fridge, and insisting “this is actually a long‑term project”.

Agents act like estate agents who keep showing us properties that are definitely not what we asked for, while other buyers (Wrexham/Preston) turn up with a suitcase of cash and buy the place out from under us before we've even taken our shoes off.  By deadline day, everyone’s exhausted, clutching paperwork, and pretending the damp little flat is exactly what we wanted all along.

No idea if there’s any truth in the Lloyd Jones to West Ham rumour but it’s a tough one. He’s not signed a new contract and if there is an offer there then the club are right to consider it. Can’t blame Lloyd for wanting what will probably be his last big payday. Having said that, he’s not likely to walk into the West Ham team and could find himself watching from the bench. Should West Ham get promoted which is very possible then he’s got no chance of playing in the Premier League. Money over career ? Tough choice if of course there’s truth in the rumour. I’d also say that being told up front that he’d have to earn his place doesn’t ring true to me. You hardly try and persuade someone to sign for you with that level of flirting.

    Agree with the above.
IF there was any truth in this then you would think this would be the proverbial life changing move for him with a surge in his bank balance.
He'd be mad not to want the move, irrespective of the game time he may or may not get.

potentially one or two years at West Ham eaning a lot more than we can pay .. then IF W H earn promotion, a move back to the lower leagues to finish his career .. ALL TOGETHER NOW .. it's a short career and players have to make hay while the legs are strong .. there is NO loyalty between clubs and players unlike with faithful (deluded ?) fans .. football is an increasingly ruthless game, no time for sentiment
Still if the rumour is true £2 Million is far too little .. (ifs & BUTS) of course if Lloyd wants to go, there is no point in trying to hold on to him (I hope he is our player for  good while yet)

    All day long.

I know we are light on rumours and signings so don’t have much to talk about. But I’m surprised there is so much on here around the Jones/West Ham link. There is absolutely no chance West Ham are interested in signing him

Feels like such a non starter of a rumour. I doubt they'll shift Kilman and they've got a couple of young CBs coming through. Can see them wanting Dael Fry from Boro as a far more likely move than LJ.

At least it's an actual rumour to talk about (even probably a spurious one) instead of discussing other posters and other boards and terrible house sale analogies!

You need to buy several houses by the end of July. You haven’t done it yet, but probably will. All the while no houses have been completed on lots of people will shout, ‘We’re not buying any houses! Why aren’t we buying houses?! 😥😤😩’ Once the houses have been bought there will be a lot of positivity about the houses, which will last until about November, at which point it will be concluded that we bought the wrong houses.
Didn't anyone do a Structural Survey ... his legs are gone and he's in the medical room more often than not

Or we may have bought the right houses we have just put them in the wrong location !

I think both of the “House sale“ analogies I’ve been very good. Or are you saying the houses themselves are terrible?

I’m pretty sure it was Wrexham he was a legend at. Eddie May wasn’t it?

Really not sure we’ll buy as many houses as some would like. That said we may be more open than before to renting as many as 5 houses. They will, of course, be in various states of repair.

His dad made over 300 appearances for Wrexham and was our assistant manager many years ago.

Managed Cardiff City twice, once to a league and Welsh cup double. And this ‘His ashes are scattered at the memorial garden at The Cardiff City Stadium and a Memorial Plaque hangs on the Ninian Park Gates in his honour’.

The Patels put an offer in for Lloyd Jones.
