    Me too!
  • Loans this season are going to be crucial for us - the players we loaned in last tbf did very well and their impact ultimately kept us up. Glad we changed our policy on loan players although this year it will be tough.

As they are likely to come from top championship clubs or some
lower premiership clubs and these players won’t be available till close to the deadline or our first game, so could impact on a slow
start to the season (when arguably these are the easier fixtures for us)

Unless the American co-owners have got all excited about the World Cup and decided to “flash the cash”

Makes sense - FM says he’s a left footer who can also play LB.

Scored from his own half for Liverpool u21s, so ticks the can hoof it long requirement:

Dundee clip of him winning a few headers, passes the height test:

Koumetio missed a big chunk of the season with a knee injury but is highly rated. Heard our bids were well below their own value of him and with Graham likely to be off, may take a decent bid to get him.

We're trying to resign Ryan Inniss?

    Bit desperate, isn't it?

I let the garden go a bit because I said to myself I will do it once I get back from Ireland.
It got rough, but when I got back it was too damn hot to do anything.
So this week is gardening week.
Cut the hedges, cut the grass, sort the weeds growing in the cracks, trim some flowers, pressure wash the concrete bits, assemble the gazebo, put a table and chairs out.
Too right there’s a lot happening.
I don’t like gardening but I owe it to my neighbours to keep stuff in order.
On top of all that starting Friday I have another two week duty to feed local feral cat Harry.

"Tough one, I think billy has the potential to be just as good as Graham is,but if he performs like we hope then he'll have loads of pre contract deals coming his way."

I wonder if it got out we were looking at a Dundee LCB and people assumed it was Graham, or whether we were looking at Graham and moved on.

    Archived version of the rumour

Dundee have knocked back several bids for central defender Billy Koumetio, Courier Sport understands.
The 23-year-old is expected to be a key man for the Dee in the coming campaign.
But his performances last season have brought interest from England.
Koumetio’s contract at Dens Park runs until next summer and the Dark Blues are keen to extend that deal.

Billy Koumetio and Luke Graham built a strong partnership last season. Image:
However, Courier Sport understands Dundee have received several six-figure bids for Koumetio’s services from English Championship side Charlton Athletic.
Bids that have been rejected by the Dens Park club.
With Koumetio’s fellow central defender Luke Graham expected to move on this summer, the Dark Blues don’t want to lose two talented youngsters in the same position in the same window.
Both Koumetio and Graham have travelled with the Dark Blues to Hungary for the club’s pre-season camp with training near Budapest to begin on Monday morning.

Would imagine we've realised we can't compete with Rangers or a lot of the European clubs and don't want to get into a bidding war for Graham and have switched targets and Koumetio also fits the profile of what we're looking for.

What it does show is we're clearly looking to upgrade on Gillesphey and that is a positive sign

I think if Charlton want to keep Jones, then they need to put up some money into his salary. It would be well spent. He has the consistency and quality required, and most importantly, the attitude needed, to pull this squad of inferior players through another trapdoor avoiding season, leading from the back!

He has the potential to be up there with JJ and dare I say it, SCP in player standings, if he stays a few more years and remains fit.

Not everyone is lured by money, even in football.

To me, whether he stays is on our owners and NJ. If there is an upgrade on Jones out there, we can't afford him and he wouldn't sign for us (is my own view).

Hoping he stays more than anyone else in the team.

Scott Fraser is from Dundee, make of that what you will.
Also in Dundee, ‘pie’ is pronounced ‘peh’.

I seem to remember the story was that we were looking at a different player at the same club when Sichenje came onto our radar so its not impossible that something similar happens again - we look at one player but notice another as part of the process.

Wow really innovative from the club, not only are we the first to make contact with extra terrestrial beings but well also be the first to have one as a footballer
