    She was one of our trustees at Brooklands Museum and I was lucky to meet her a few times too, an absolute wonderful, passionate soul and a pleasure to talk to, such a shame!

    In the 80s I saw her with her husband around the Leicester Square area. My main recollection was how tall she was. RIP

    Find a upper class accent on a lady particularly  hard to resist.
    Marvellous and talented actor. Huge lost to both TV and theatre.

    RIP Dame Penelope.
    Personally think that Margo Leadbetter, as well as Sybil Fawlty are the greatest female comedy characters and are faultless performances from two wonderful actresses.
    Don't believe we will witness their like again.
