Best of luck to him. Probably not quite championship standard but always gave his all and we'll never forget that Wembley goal.

As I said a couple of weeks ago

A model pro and quite literally got us to where we are today. He was also in my top 3 performers the second half of the promotion season, alongside Jones and Godden, he was so reliable at LCB and the slightly slower pace of League 1 helped him command that space and not get caught out like he has a couple of times in the championship. I'm sure he'll do well at Bradford and if he turns out at The Valley again I'll clap him

Will always be grateful for Wembley . His lack of pace was always a problem though . Good luck Macca

This time last year I was fearful of seeing him up against championship strikers, but other than a couple of howlers tbh he never really let us down to the extent that I wouldn't have been adverse to him being backup once again. I'm glad we have found quicker/more mobile defenders to replace him and he's found a new club, excellent league 1 defender and seemed a thoroughly lovely bloke as well.

Good luck and a good move all round. Could be frustrating at times but think league 1 is his true level. Thanks for that goal at Wembley.

Best wishes and good luck in Bradford, Gilly!

Won’t make any Charlton all time XI lists but was excellent in the promotion season and delivered the iconic moment with the winner at Wembley.

Championship was a stretch for him, but was not helped that for many of his appearances he had someone filling in at a left back next to him, which exposed him even more.

Even then, he had his moments, like changing the game as a sub vs. Blackburn and he most certainly never gave anything less than his all and never let us down despite some mistakes and shaky moments.

Leaves us a better player than when he arrived as well as a respected individual who I would imagine will get a very warm reception if/when Stevie Brown invites him back one day as a visiting ex player.

Was a highlight for me over the last few years to present Macca with the MOM award after the Peterborough game which we sponsored.

Literally after that he went on his crazy run of form - and the rest is history. Will always get a great reception whenever he returns to The Valley.

Championship football probably a step too far, but the fella should never have to buy a drink in SE7 again. Thanks for all the effort Macca.
