Hopefully we get rid of Kalamity in goal.
Only in the top 3 keepers in the championship based on last season EFL stats and without him we would have bottom 3 .. let’s get rid and bring someone in no where near as good …. New keeper is not on our shopping list

Current team and depth looking a little healthier now. Next steps are upgrading at RWB and in midfield, and then trimming the numbers at CB and up front

Encouraging start to the window, signing players at good ages on long contracts so they can hopefully develop into really good championship players over the next few years
    Still needed:
    GK - Starter
    RWB - Cover (Ramsay starts)
    x3 CM's - Starters
    x1 No.10 - Starter
    x2 Strikers - x1 Starter
    I think we need

2 x RWB (starter and cover).... ideally more attacking as we mirror with a more defensive option on the left that allows everything to shift over when they attack
2 x CM (both starters) so Doc and CC go to back up
1 x ST (a very good back up - want to see Kelman get a full year.

Would be happy with that as long as we spend proper money on decent options. GK potentially but not vital

Elijah Adebayo just posted what seems to be a farewell video on Instagram. Obviously worked with NJ before and had a very good season in the premier league a couple seasons ago. I know he had his injury troubles last year so would fit right in. Just a suggestion though not a rumour.

I think we're going to sign another big lump up forward to replace Dykes and that'll be our lot for strikers, only other attacking player will be a wing back

He was very good strong forward  but think he had a few set backs last season ..but very good for Luton over last few seasons .. think NJ looking for a big strong  striker to take the knocks and do the hard craft

Both players say that after speaking to NJ they could wait to join the club and play under him .. more proof that it was nonsense that was written about him and the board …

We desperately need an alternative to TC. I think from everything Jones was saying last year we will be looking for that. Finding one won’t be easy though

If we are setting up with defensive LWBs then we need TC on the pitch. He can’t be on the pitch for every minute, and overplaying him last season was hard to watch at times. So we need a winger/striker type to take some of the load off TC

I can still see us signing a big lump forward but if we do then Leaburn or Mbick will most likely go out on loan to make way

That's the player I meant by an attacking wing back, someone like (but hopefully better than) Fevrier who can play higher up if needed to alleviate pressure on TC

I don't think the site could handle the traffic of TC & keeper discourse

Personally think the new kit should be announced with the first signing of the season.

What happened to the simple holding of the shirt with name on it.
Maybe we will get a Jones new contract announcement with kit launch… fingers crossed! 🤞

    He's just waffling.

There isn't a single metric that proves TK is a top3 championship keeper unless you're just being delusional (sorry)

Conversation has been done to death. It is very unlikely we get a new keeper, as his wages are too high, and it seems unlikely anyone will take him, he is also probably the least of our concerns.

Stats below. I will say he has been protected by our shape and great defenders, but he isn't close to being the worst goalie in the Champ either.

The best stat for shotstopping is Goals Prevented. Kaminski was 18th best in the league and that's supposed to be one of the better parts of his game

I'm reasonably ok with him still being number 1 and seeing how he does this season, we've got a lot to do already and adding another position that really isn't an easy one to recruit for will make things even more difficult. He clearly used to be a good championship keeper so hopefully he can get back to those levels again. If not then that's one for next summer

I'd rather sign the 2 right wing backs and then sign a proper attacking player to rotate with TC. It's unlikely we will find someone that can do both jobs well (as we've seen with TC it's not easy)

Think we need a midfield upgrade next.  Coventry and Carey can both play but will be better with better players alongside them.  Would like two new midfielders, one with pace and bite, the other to provide creativity.  Or two players that can do both.

Midfield is going to be key and where I'd expect the substantial fees to be spent. Definitely would want 2 upgrades on CC and Doc and that's not going to come cheap.

Bore off. You know deep down it was only because of the defence in front of him! How many times have we been through this.

    From EFL

Kaminski regularly competes with the division's other elite goalkeepers—such as Viktor Johansson (Stoke City) and Carl Rushworth—for the league's top clean sheet and save percentage honors. His ability to frequently keep teams in games has made him a highly valued asset.

Two fees so far and I’d guess maybe two more. After that we need some Championship loans and some out of contract signings. Still think we need six in but I think that might be pushing it.
Six more? Or four more including the two already.
My bad. Six more in addition to the two we’ve already got

I mean we all knew it wasn’t going to happen but Cawley has rubbished Jones to West Ham which is great news.
Of course not. He’s off to Preston.

If he's fully fit and the wages aren't astronomical this makes a lot of sense especially given NJ signed Adebayo at Luton as well.

Can’t afford that at this level.
