Jeez, I mean our defence is shit.

But we’ve created enough to at least be level.

Massive deflection off O’Reilly for the Bissaka chance so we deserved that luck. Definitely a penalty. If not why no booking for Kane, and why no booking for the half a dozen Congolese waving imaginary cards?

WTF... Why has the referee just blown for offside when we have the ball and are about to break... Instead allows Congo time to get their shape

Mpasi is a class above Tomaszevski but this has all the feel of that infamous night.

Another fantastic save and then the keeper stops us getting another attack in by going down “hurt”

Suppose that we've now got to listen to that idiot assistant manager.

Madueke really doesn't offer anything defensively and also offers very little going forward with his final ball

Crap. Same every game. Tuchel is an absolute chancer.

I’d go Gordon for Rashford at HT. I don’t think Gordon is great but Rashford has been so poor.

Need more from Rice and Kane. Two big players giving us very little.

Back line, less said the better. I’d almost be tempted to put Burn or someone on there just to get some order. Konsa and Guehi do not work.

@panther10 just missing one of your usual insightful takes...England games not as interesting for you?

I would stick Watkins on at half time to stick someone else up top..... Saka too. Got to try something. We are crashing out the world cup to the Congo. That would be historically embarrassing in World Cup history.

    Bring back Gareth Southgate.
Well…. there were plenty of folks who understood why Southgate set England up the way he did. He was 90% of the way to where he and England needed to be - he just lacked the courage to go for it a bit more when we got into strong positions in finals and semi finals. I don’t doubt Tuchel has the balls to try and press home an advantage in a big game but we’ve apparently lost all the pragmatic solidity and reliability that Southgate instilled.

We’ve gone back to playing like old England sides with the same predictably erratic results. All or nothing football is what fans claim they want from England but it’s been proven time and again it doesn’t consistently get England to later stages.

Anyway, there’s some hope here. England have been better since the hydration break. There’s a vulnerability to a breakaway 2nd for The Good Doctor, but at least we’ve forced some saves which is more than we saw vs. Ghana and Panama.

He got straight up, waited for the ball to go out and then dropped to the floor. As soon as the ref blew his whistle the keeper was on his feet. Every keeper would do it but the ref shouldn’t buy it

England created enough and had enough shots on target to have scored at least once, if not twice.

Congo one shot on target, one goal.

That’s football. Not time to panic yet.

I’m getting very fed up of players,(Bellingham), waving their arms at the crowd to make some noise. Do something for the crowd to get enthusiastic about yeh prima-donna.

The only smidgeon of hope is that we have played that badly and still created 4 huge chances.

Conversely defensively we are a mess. Fullbacks are being massively exposed, neither wide player is tracking back at all and the centre backs look like strangers.

Looking back the goal i totaly agree now with @JohnBoyUK - Spence has been sold down the river by Konsa.... terrible positioning by the centre backs.

If we got that penalty decision no doubt the keeper would of saved it
