Good player but feels like he could be another Aneke.

Can’t afford that at this level.
Bit different Aneke had multiple muscle injuries, Adebayo has had 1 major ACL injury. Can question is he as good as he was but 1 bad injury doesn’t make a player injury prone.

Yet another four year deal which is good, this is looking standard stuff now...
And yet we came unstuck with Ahadme! Difficult to know if 4 year contracts are good or bad?

I’d invite Adebayo to train with us and have a look. If he can get through some pre-season games and looks good then maybe we can do a 1 year deal. If he’s not happy with any of that arrangement then we move on

I don’t think he’ll be short of offers where he won’t have to trial tbh and should get a two year deal with an option I think.

Midfield is going to be key and where I'd expect the substantial fees to be spent. Definitely would want 2 upgrades on CC and Doc and that's not going to come cheap.
Midfield is only key if we intend to actually play through one this year. They were largely passengers last season with the ball going over them more often than not.

Whether that was because they weren’t good enough to play it through is the question

I think the defence should be sorted now. Would like to see us move on to the midfield as that’s where we really need to improve. Do we think those deals will be later in the window?
    RWB, no?

Dundee Courier saying Dundee FC will pocket a seven-figure sum after accepting transfer offers from England for defenders Luke Graham and Billy Koumetio.

Is it one, both or neither coming our way?

    When it's on the AI
Is that similar to the Plymouth Herald & if so does Ronnie have connections in Scotland ?

    No, it’s reporting is accurate

There's this striker at the world cup looks alright- Kane or something? Might be worth a bid.

Six contracted centre backs for three places seems sensible to me? It’s been back to back seasons now that Lloyd has played a significant period through the pain barrier so we need suitable options there - if he had to take any length of time out last season we would have been in big trouble.

Sichenje, Ramsay, Jones, Koumetio, Bell, Mesik is a hopefully strong group.
+ Burke, not sure he’d be easy to offload.
After the Millwall game I'd happily drive him to whoever wants him.

Without putting the cat amongst pigeons…

Could we be putting these signings on 4 year contracts to spread the cost across those years - and better (smaller cost incurred) for this years budget? 👀
Could be, or deciding we want this player for long term and don’t want to have the hassle of getting them to re-sign in a year or two.

Hopefully we get rid of Kalamity in goal.
Only in the top 3 keepers in the championship based on last season EFL stats and without him we would have bottom 3 .. let’s get rid and bring someone in no where near as good …. New keeper is not on our shopping list

    Show us the stats @RonnieMoore
    This has him at 10th:

Can we just appreciate in the space of 24hours we may have gone from Gillesphey LCB and TC LWB to Koumetio LCB and Mesik LWB
Are these 2 new recruits world beaters then ? No-one has seen them play yet. Yes, they may turn out to be inspired signings like Lloyd Jones and Kayne Ramsay......or they might turn out to be duds like Tanto & Ahadme.

The proof, as they say, is in the eating.
That's what I was thinking, I know nothing about Mesik but did see a video of "the best of" Koumetio & wasn't that impressed, though later somebody did say that there was a video uploaded from his younger days, whether it was that one I don't know. My concern is we are again (so far) signing players that are unproven at championship level & with Jones & Ramsey yet to sign new contracts, it's a slight worry  :#

Bore off. You know deep down it was only because of the defence in front of him! How many times have we been through this.
    From EFL

Kaminski regularly competes with the division's other elite goalkeepers—such as Viktor Johansson (Stoke City) and Carl Rushworth—for the league's top clean sheet and save percentage honors. His ability to frequently keep teams in games has made him a highly valued asset.
Have you got a link? Because I just googled part of that exact phrase and there are zero matches. Also the em dashes are making me suspicious.

I assume with Billy also joining we will be moving to a back 4? I doubt that Mesik/Billy would have joined to be in a three way battle for LCB.
If we go 4 at the back would mean playing with wingers. Maybe the second coming of Apter, who is exciting in the final third, and wouldn't have the defensive requirement of a WB.

That worked well for him at Bolton. If we were going to change to a back 4 and wingers (spoiler alert - we won’t be) then we’d definitely be looking to upgrade on Apter

Yes of course, that why chelsea are giving their signings 6/7 year contracts. No cat among the pigeons, just a sensible way to operate.

Ollie Hobden who we released has signed permanently for Chatham. He had had a couple of loans with them.

You can’t have it both ways. Trust your scouts or buy proven.
Proven Championship players cost. A lot. Spend on one or two and sign some freebies? V trust your scouts and buy potential, sell for profit and build.

Probably, but surely after shelling out £2M we'd have another look.
