Pre season must be an interesting dynamic as you have a mix of players that have very different perspectives. There must be a few that know they are likely to be on the move, some who know they will be part of the matchday squad and then others who were sent out on loan last season. The last bracket have a real chance to show a great attitude for example if I was Apter I would be busting a gut to show NJ he was wrong however if he doesn’t show that desire it just proves NJ right I supposeAberystwythAddick said:There must be something in the water in Bolton. Mannion has posted a picture of Tiernan Brooks so the only players missing are Coventry and Mbick. You'd imagine Coventry will be off to Slovenia, interesting to see if Mbick is or not. I seem to remember Aneke going a couple of years ago even though he was doing an individual regime0

given the size of our squad I suspect they'd like to move a few on pretty sharpish. How many players would realistically go on an overseas training camp.
30+ is pretty top heavy0 -
We have 29 first team at present, Anderson Mitchell and Kanu may stay behind considering they have active interest and deals may be wrapped for them by then or continue negotiations . Ahadme won’t be coming. Then you assume Macca is on the way out with Koumieto incoming. Tricky with our squad size though. It’s as much about team bonding as it is fitness, do you want any new signings forming a bond with Ahadme only to then lose a strong connection when he gets flogged?killerandflash said:

I was more making the point that whilst we'd love 4/5 new signings already to be on the team bonding/training trip - we surely need to offload a few first (or just not take them)

Cov been on international duty so given an extra week Mbick, not out on the grass yet, still in recovery from the injury last year, and won't be fit for a couple of months.
