For those who have not seen it, (is there anyone), or recorded it, the game is showing on Sky channel 403 tonight at 6pm.

It’s on Sky sports football again now if anyone fancies a nice trip down memory lane.0

Boring 0-0 or 1-1, same as the two league games.

No matter how many times I watch it, I still find myself expecting Shaun Newton to miss his penalty and unaccountably don’t relax until it actually hits the back of the net.
Anyone else?🤔9 -

Anyone have the full sky broadcast of this? Not the one on youtube which is cut down0

Yes. Had a friend who worked for Sky at the time and he gave me a video of the whole feed. It includes some off live broadcast interaction between Curbs and Reid in the tunnel. Had it transferred to DVD a good few years back, though no longer have a working DVD player to watch it on. Need to digitise it fully at some point.2121 said:Anyone have the full sky broadcast of this? Not the one on youtube which is cut down3 -
I turned it off when it went to penalties, I still remember that one in the play offs by Nicky Bailey.0

I’m sure a lot of you can empathise with this, but one of the reasons I love watching this match on tv is because of the people I attended the game with.
I brought three people with me that day, my dad, my brother in law and my mate, who would later be my best man.
My dad and my best man are sadly no longer with us, so every time I watch this match, I think of them.
When I was watching on Saturday, my daughter came in and said “Why are you watching an old game?” I replied that it was a classic Charlton game and said “Grandad Ray and Chris were both there with me and Uncle Paul that day.” Her response was to say “Aw, that’s nice” and gave me a hug. Shes a sweetheart.
I just love that match so much.5 -
That’s really kind, Bob. I will get in touch but please be patient as I’ll need to rummage through a few boxes to find it. Give me a week or two.BobK said:If you leave the DVD with the Museum I'll digitise for you2
