All of that said, I would be intrigued as to why we elected to field. Batting second has been an issue at Worcs, where the pitch clearly does no get any better and it took Worcs all bar 7 balls chasing 142 in what has been the only successful chase there this season - the average runs per wicket chasing is 13.42 chasing as opposed to 20.55 batting first.
Second innings scores (run rate 5.84):

Muyeye has been a huge miss this season with the batting so inconsistent and a long tail has not been able to save Kent - particularly with Stewart and Rogers being injured. Evison would have been a good option in some games and Singh and Jaydn Denly would have strengthened the lower order batting too.0

Unfortunately, Evison seems to have lost all confidence. He hasn't bowled for Leics in the Vitality Blast and has scored just 1 (2) and 7 (13) for them with the bat. That followed that rather humiliating (and some might argue unfair) episode when Billings retired him after he struggled for 5* off 12 balls. Our tail is an issue. The likes of Ekansh and Jaydn could be an alternative to Stewart (who will offer more with the ball) but would have to be the "icing" rather than the cake itself when it comes to bowling as they would be targeted as the fifth bowling option which they might share with Joe (who is a long way ahead in terms of experience)
If and when Muyeye is fit, then I would suggest our strongest line up might look something like this:

Myself and others have mentioned his name before but, in addition to Ollie Butterfill, another player who might follow in the recent footsteps of Jaydn, Ekansh, Dawkins and Curtiss in securing a rookie contract could well be Leo Selvey-Clinton, son of Richard and grandson of Graeme. He's 17 today and has just hit 46 off 30 balls including six 4s and two 6s. He's averaging over 50 with the bat for Kent U18s and bowls a bit of off spin too.

I think it's a combination of many things but the timing of the games is the unfortunate part of things. Muyeye was obviously not cleared to play until the 2s game on Wednesday (31 days following the concussion incident). He did not partake in the first of those two T20s that day so was not considered ready for two innings. The Kent Prem match is a decent second stepping stone.fenaddick said:

Kent do have a duty of care, especially given what happened to the likes of Will Pucovski. The one thing that is certain is that if an opposition quick smells any weakness in playing the short ball that will be exploited time and time again. There is no place for indecision at 85mph plus and where a batter has less than 0.4 seconds to make up their mind how to play the ball. T20s are the most unforgiving in that respect in that the expectation is that a batter will take it on whereas in a CC match it is the complete obvious in that being in for a long time rather than a good time is the order of the day.2 -

That doesn't matter. It is the reaction to that and confidence that can be affected. And there is no better way of testing that than bowling umpteen short balls at 85mph plus.
