Got to score early here I think. Mexico won’t sit back.

    Bellingham sent off.
England hang in for a 2-1 victory.

Just heard there is a 75% chance of a thunderstorm in and around Mexico city between 3pm and 7pm local time. Game kicks off at 6pm there.

Match called off when England players arrested after a bracelet vanishes from a local jewellery store.

Think the bigger battle will be off the pitch.
Who's supporters will do the most class A, with the UK start time of 01:00, could be a tough one to call.

Too hard to call, so wont bother. Just hope for the best & that whatever happens, it can go to bed after 90 mins and not 120 mins

From here in London it just looks to me that all the pressure could well turn out to be on the Mexican team and not the English players who to a man have had to regularly deal with these situations and against far better opponents in their ‘day jobs’. That will only get worse for the Mexicans if they don’t score an early goal and definitely more so if England score first. This could well turn out to be a much easier game for England than everybody expects. It’s telling that I would guess the English fans will probably concentrate upon getting the beers in pre match and the Mexican fans are so less confident in their team that they feel they need to resort to other means to try and even it up.

Said it before, our game plan of two minute phases of 30 passes only for the ball to still be with Guehi is ideal for altitude.
Mexico have to show intent and we will pass them to death.

    England's defence is awful.

I'm trying to piece England's back line together in my mind.
It's like trying to do a Jigsaw puzzle with a couple of missing pieces and some pieces that some clown has put in the box from a completely different jigsaw!!

It’s not been ideal but these are players whose day job twice a week is to pit themselves against teams that contain some of the best players in the World. They are also resilient and after the first four tough games are probably bonding more like a club team that know how and when to cover each other.

Nevertheless, we won’t want to let them get tested too much and I suspect we will try and put the Mexicans on the back foot from the start. They will clearly want to target Kane and Bellingham which will mean one of our 4 wingers/wing men, depending on who starts, will more than likely have room to get the first goal.

I’d play Konsa at right back for this one and the rest of the Man City defence

Bring Watkins on late to stretch them if we are still in it but I do fear we are going to wilter in the heat and hostility

In the pub for this and setting my alarm for 10.28 first teams meeting at 10.30 tomorrow 😂

Most important is not to concede before the first hydration break. An early goal for Mexico and I think we will find it very very difficult to get the game back in our hands.

The longer we shut them out the more confident I’ll be that we can win, considering the strength of our bench.

Did I hear Thomas in his interview say They have to be the best version of themselves?

If you think we’re gonna keep a clean sheet I don’t know what you’ve been watching for the last 4 games.

Don’t know what 4 games you watched, but I saw two clean sheets.

Easy win. Mexico aren't good, the altitude isn't that bad, and we have Kane and Bellingham.

I do think kickoff will be delayed for weather though

Without doubt a tough match but mainly due to the geographical and potential weather issues. They will come out fast and I think we will be a goal down early but we have by far the better team and we will come good. 3-2 victory

Heat is not a problem for this one.

18c and light rain for kick off. Like a September / October game in England.
