Fucking hell, this is vile. How have we ever reached this point as a civilisation?
Not much we can do as a nation other than condemn this woman but I’d hope if ever she feels the need to visit this country or any other in Europe then it’s her that’s given the middle finger. Gobsmackingly disgusting
Mbappe's response, taken from the BBC website.

Mbappe responded, external: "Madame Celeste Amarilla, you are a despicable woman and unworthy of your position.

"You do not represent Paraguay, that country which has sweated passion and honour throughout the competition.

"Through your recklessness and your brazen racism, the entire world has already forgotten the journey and the historic effort that your players accomplished during this World Cup, making way for an incompetent woman who gives the worst possible image of her country.

"I will never allow people like her the freedom to spread their hatred and racism across the world."

Incredibly, this person is now demanding an apology from Kylian Mbappe and threatening legal action because of his “Gender based violence”.

    Extraordinary.

I feel bad for Balogun.   He is just trying to play in a World Cup and suddenly he is a pawn in a bunch of political shenanigans and will now be seen as a symbol of corruption through no fault of his own
It will serve as a reminder of the country he chose to represent.

The US is an amazing country filled mostly with wonderful, friendly, welcoming people. The mad man in the White House and the culture wars and policies that currently prevail are (hopefully) transient.
I largely agree, Bob, but a fair proportion of the 'wonderful people' voted for the orange turd not once but twice.

I’d suggest that nine out of ten MAGA people are complete arseholes.

What you’d give for a result here. I can’t see it, but I also couldn’t see Paraguay turning over Germany

Agreed. That midfield of Wilson, Kepple and Betty looks good.

I like how Colombia v Switzerland tonight has been dubbed Charlie vs the Chocolate Factory.

Foul on Salah in a dangerous position ignored already, with no replay.

He’s not a great penalty taker. I don’t know why Enzo Fernandez doesn’t take them for Argentina.

A rubbish penalty,  but then his penalty record is poor. Anyone else would have lost penalty taking duties.

Still dont think we should be afraid of the Argies. 7 times out of 10, Norway and Argies gets us in the WC Final. France will dick us but thats another matter.

Is it me or is Ally McCoist increasingly channelling Sean Connery?
