2026/27 Football Predictions
So, who do people think will do well (or badly) in the top 5 divisions this season coming?
my uneducated guesses..
Premier League I canI can't see past Arsenal again tbh. With managerial change at Liverpool and Man City they could take time to settle down. United and Spurs are still a way off. Sadly the 3 promoted teams will almost certainly all go down. The pessimist in me sees Palace over achieve again.
Championship I see Norwich as an outsider to do very well, Southampton should be up there with West Ham and Wolves. This is the year Burnley stop yo-yoing. If Sheffield United lose Wilder they could be the next Leicester.
League One Sheffield Weds walk it imo. Bradford, Luton, Plymouth will be there. Maybe MKDons as an outsider. No idea with Leicester. Bromley will find it too tough and head straight back down.
league Two Salford seem to have the money, Grimsby have the recruitment so both promoted for me. Both of York and Rochdale should do well given how much better they were in the division below. Crawleys mad owners take them down this season.
National League can't see beyond Carlisle. Would like to see Southend do well and regain their league status.
Thoughts from those who follow the other leagues more closely??

Four Fout Two predict a 21st place finish for us with Portsmouth, Blackburn and Lincoln to be relegated. West Ham to win the Championship
Elsewhere they have Arsenal for the Premier League. Leicester for League One and Bristol Rovers for League Two0 -
I also like Norwich in the Championship at around 20-1. Southampton despite the issues with Eckert have a good squad and should be there or therabouts. Derby would be my other fancy at a decent price. I think that NJ can guide us to safety again, but anything above the bottom 6 would be a good finish. Difficult to see anyone dethroning Arsenal, but if United get off to a good start i think they could push them close.0

Surely the rest of the prem can't be as bad this season and actually give Arsenal a run for their money, I actually don't think they'll retain it. Can see it being a much tighter race with more teams involved.
Spurs to finish top 6, promoted sides to all struggle a bit more than last year, but they'll still be a surprise or 2 with regards to someone who's really shit and down there.
Norwich/Middlesbro in the Champ to be good, can see the relegated sides struggling a bit albeit expect them all to be there or thereabouts around the play offs - Burnley tend to always be a very solid champ side and tough to beat, don't concede many goals at this level.
Leicester probably in L1 if they get their act together.0 -
