    He was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer not too long ago sadly.

    Very sad news.  Thanks for the memories of your really exciting to watch Newcastle side in the 90s.
    Sadly, I wasn't old enough to remember you playing for Liverpool but I can vaguely remember your last game you played for Newcastle as it was shown on the Big Match on a Sunday when I was little.

    Ah man, that's awful. Like Beds, my first football hero. Was over the moon when I met him getting off the coach when we played them at The Valley in '84. There was loads of people waiting for him to sign stuff but he didn't refuse anyone and was there for a while. Still got the programme

    His partnership with Trevor Brooking for England was one of the few things that made England worth watching in the seventies. A great player who gave everything. RIP Kevin.
