Brilliant footballer and a great character. Played the game in the right way but wasn’t afraid to stand up for himself as the late Billy Bremner would testify.RIP Mr. Keegan you were a legend.

    Sad news.

One of my icons when I started watching football in the 70's....alongside Killer of course.

Loved his Newcastle team in the 90's & also a shame he didn't last long as England manager.

    RIP.

Very sad news. Kind of fitting that the last England game before he died finished 6-4.

RIP Kevin,  such sad news . I'm 65 but I must admit I shed a tear when I heard the news . As a teenager in the 70's,  he was English football and I remember him on Superstars,  after he retired.  Such a loss.

A real thrill to see his last London performance at The Valley, his enthusiasm even that late in his career stood out. Slated as a moaner by Mark Aizlewood after the game. Keegan's response, 'who's Aizlewood, was he playing?'

Had the pleasure of meeting him at a Back to The Valley dinner when Les Reed was in the England set-up. Lovely guy his charisma shone through and very down to earth RIP.
