Shame. Would have liked to have let him have another loan out for half a season maybe and see how it goes. Good luck to him, I think he’ll have a good career. Expect he’ll take a step into League One for now but won’t be surprised if he’s back in The Championship in a couple of years.2

Gutted by this. I rate him very highly and personally would have given another contract. Even though he’s not moved forward to where I thought he would, still believe he has the talent to go far. Hope there’s a nice sell on percentage for us as if the things he needs to improve on click in the next couple of years, he will be very sought after.4

I think this sums up the on the field challenge as well. Energetic and adept at breaking up opposition play, but in the Championship didn't have the nous to drive forwards, instead playing the safe pass sideways or backwards after doing the hard work.stoneroses19 said:Gutted by this. Given the quality of our academy, and his length of time with us, there is clearly a very good player in there with bags of potential. Still young and time to build a very good career.3 -
good luck karoy - as has been said a - great lad, great engine, fearless, just not technically good enough for where we're trying to get to - wouldn't be surprised to see a few more academy products follow him out of the door shortly2

Which probably sums up Nathan Jones attitude to transfer policy, it's a need to know situation and we don't need to know.CafcSteve said:But @RonnieMoore’s contact said we hadn’t received any bids for anyone apart from Kanu?0 -

Bit gutted, have always been a fan. As someone else said, hope we’ve got the right clauses included in the transfer agreement to benefit if he goes in to be a success.2
-
I don't think he'll ever develop into a player capable of playing above L1 and we need to be more ruthless as a club so feels like a good move for all involved.
Good luck Karoy.1 -
I’m a bit disappointed in truth - I was hoping the Blackpool loan would be his “Scott Parker Norwich City loan” moment and he’d come back as a man.
i think his physicality will mean he has a decent career and if he has a good, full season in League 1 with a promotion chasing team he would then make the step up. He’s still only 21 so game time will improve him
all the best Karoy, wherever you’re off to.11 -
You can’t sadly learn technical ability at his age . You can learn nous and experience and so, with a good attitude and his mobility, he should have a league one careerSwisdom said:I’m a bit disappointed in truth - I was hoping the Blackpool loan would be his “Scott Parker Norwich City loan” moment and he’d come back as a man.

A limited version of Kishishev - technically needs to improve. Has a good engine and attitude which are his main strengths.2

Is that a fact or an old wives' tale?wmcf123 said:

Whether he can or not I'm still wishing him all the best. A player who always gave his all. All the best Karoy.9 -
Absolutely no objection to selling him (if indeed we have) as i don't think he is currently good enough.
However he is an international player that is still only 21 so there is every chance he will improve. Therefore i hope we've been smart in any deal and included a good sell on clause and first dibs on a buy back.0 -
Ahadme would be a Jamaica international if he was Jamaican, it means nothingChris_from_Sidcup said:Absolutely no objection to selling him (if indeed we have) as i don't think he is currently good enough.

Karoy has far more ‘technical ability’ than people give him credit for. His minutes last season for us were as a 20yr old playing centre mid in a struggling team that don’t play football suited to centre mids, up against Championship players.
we’ll see24 -
All the best to him and let’s see if goes on to prove a few wrong1

He can become a Darren Pratley, eventually, but not with us. We don't have the time to develop young players at the momentwmcf123 said:

I loved Darren by the way, especially his ability to buy a free kick.0 -
Karoy can post his message again now6

The few won’t be much but I don’t think we can expect a decent fee for many of our players.0

Four years plus a year's option, he's done well there.clive said:5 -

Very sad to see him go, but think it’s the right move for him and for the club.1

Really feel this one will age terribly.
Seems really short-sighted if we're just going to constantly turnover our squad like Football Manager for the best available free players just to try and desperately stay in the Champ for a short-term hit of more experience.
Sometimes you just need to keep giving more game time to younger players and let them develop, rather than panicking and getting rid if they don't fly out the blocks.8 -
Wishing Karoy all the best for the future. Thanks for the memories especially that goal at Wycombe 👌. I’m sure this move will give him more confidence and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him playing at a higher level in a few years time.0

The whole point of a transfer window is to try and improve your squad.hudson-son-son said:Really feel this one will age terribly.

If we bring in someone better then it's a good bit of business.
Having said that I wish him all the best with the rest of his career.2 -
Anderson and Morgan together in the Blackpool midfield
Might as well give them the League One title now7
