In terms of outgoing it's looking like

    Alex Mitchell - Perm
    Kanu - Perm
    Anderson - Perm
Olaofe - Ideally perm, likely loan?
Apter - Ideally perm, likely loan?
    Dixon - Loan?
Asimwe - Ideally perm, likely loan?
    Docherty - Potentially sold?

    Have I missed anyone?

I’ve seen Lankshear who was on loan at Oxford mentioned as an option. Going to Boro in £10+ mill deal. The market really is whack a doodle!
This is why the midfield hasn't seen much transfer activity yet - I have no doubt Jones knows as well as anyone how much improving is needed, he will be as eager as any of us if not moreso to get it done but when Lankshear is going for a 7 figure fee the market is just completely insane.
Hes good yes, but 10 million pounds good? I just don't see it.
I think this shows our roadmap has to be taking some gambles on young players and hoping a couple really break out. Get into a cycle of selling your best player every couple of seasons for these kind of fees and then using the expanded budget to gamble on youngsters with even higher ceilings. Basically the Coventry model.
With the possible exception of T Campbell, there is no clear sign yet  that we can bring through young players at this stage in the Champ. It looks more likely that we have to rely on Coadys and Grants, experienced Champ players with some life left in them.
Our Academy has been great in League One, but I am not sure it is going to produce Champ level players any time soon.

Our academy produced grant - a championship  player
I did say 'at this stage'. I just think, given the fact we are bottom three in terms of money(apparently) we will not have the time and space to bring through young players. Don't get me wrong, there is talent there,-TC, Leaburn, Gough, Fullah, Mbick, Zak Taylor, Kanu,Mwamba all have a lot of promise. But if we have to rely on them in large numbers this season we will get relegated.

Where has the Docherty exit come from. Personally I think it’s highly unlikely.

His agent planted a story last week about Leicester, Bolton, Blackburn and a couple of MLS clubs "monitoring his situation" or something.

He's fishing for a new deal or making it known his client wants more stability

Thinking logically, there's no way the club would have let Karoy go if we hadn't secured the services of a new midfielder.
    Must be an incoming soon

Not sure that’s true. He was only ever going to be a squad player and both Gough and Mwamba are also midfield options for pre season. Anderson didn’t even make the squad at the weekend (presumably because of the move) and we didn’t miss him from a numbers perspective

Gough won't play midfield, and more likely Anderson didn't make the squad because he was off

But that doesn’t change the fact we didn’t miss him from a number point of view which is all that matters during pre season

AFC Wimbledon are pushing hard for Kanu
Do they have ten million pounds then.

If Kanu moves I would guess it’ll be for an undisclosed fee. Won’t be much but hopefully with a sell on.

I'm not sure he was totally surplus to requirements though, and I doubt NJ is happy for a midfield option to be let go without a replacement coming in.

There's no way we start the season with the midfield we had vs Gillingham having let another one go, simply aren't enough bodies

Can't see the deal for Karoy that's been doing the rounds for weeks being made official without a replacement already lined up. I guess you can just about get through preseason with what we've got but I'd like to think by the time we play Reading we have a new look midfield.

Torino are interested in Charlton defender Kayne Ramsay.
The right-back played 37 Championship games last season registering one assist.
Italians Torino would be able to agree a pre-contract deal from January to sign Ramsay on a free at the end of his deal next summer.

This is the risk being in a higher division and starts to make you question what bid we’d accept this summer

Don’t think he was ever in the thinking for the squad unfortunately, so don’t think we can read into anything from his sale. Thats purely my opinion which could be way off the mark/ hopefully.

That's fine. It won't be binding.

    Different transfers, for different needs.

If he’s not willing to sign a new deal I think anything over a million would probably be acceptable.

Then again you have to weigh that against his value in a relegation battle. Much like the Jones West Ham discussion his worth in that would likely be far greater than anything we would realistically receive.

I don’t think JRC leaves this window, Jones has got a plan for him.

This reads like complete agent talk here. My guess is contract talks with Kayne are well underway.
