    I thought £18 mill for Hackney was poor as I think he was close to being the best player in the league

    Didn’t have long to run on his contract. Makes a big difference.

    QPR have signed Tariq Lamptey. If they can somehow keep him fit (they won’t), that’s a very decent signing.

    Fabrizio Romano is reporting Chelsea are close to signing Barco, who was the little Argentinian weasel who ran off the subs bench to celebrate in the England players' faces. 

    I think him and Chelsea are a match made in heaven.

    QPR have signed Tariq Lamptey on a Free Transfer
    Completely forgot about him after he started so well for Brighton... Shame he seems to be made of glass as would be on my wishlist otherwise

    This could be an unreal bit of business and on a free. Wonder if we were in for him. I remember Chelsea wanting to pay big money for him when he broke through.

    It most likely won’t - he played 25 minutes of football last season and the equivalent of 25 full games over the 3 seasons before that.

    Agreed. 

    Not obvious why the Saudis have paid so much for him either, as he isn't that good, and isn't the sort of star player that will attract global interest. 6 Dutch caps, and hardly a star of the World Cup.

    The one Bellingham slapped for insulting him in Spanish without realising playing for a Spanish team meant he could actually speak and understand Spanish?

    I can understand it - while I personally would think I'm making a great living anyway so I'd rather play in the best league I can, there's a logic to "I'm going there to train all week, play at an easier standard with less pressure, and I'll be paid three times as much (or whatever), why not?".
