Whitehouse commented "Vamos!" on the club's Instagram post announcing the Partido signing, which I'm hoping is an indication she isn't going anywhere.
As others have said, spare LCL players might not be a bad road to go down, and Johnston looks like she offers useful versatility - though neither of them have WSL experience.
Regarding the three players we still don't know about: Newsham and Ross had an option for another year in the deals they signed last summer, while N'Dow didn't (at least there was no mention of it when her new deal was announced). Losing her would be as big a blow as losing Lloyd Jones would be for the men's team, so I really hope we can keep her.3 -
Another one today new one year deal.0

That’s good. I was never too worried about N’Dow signing, realistically there’s unlikely to be a team in the WSL who would go for her and we could offer her another shot at the top division and were unlikely to be outbid. I’m glad though, she’s great.I’m fascinated by this Finnish keeper situation though. There’s a whole article written but it feels like she was accidentally announced. At this point I’m surprised they haven’t just moved the schedule of announcements around, unless something has suddenly changed at the last moment with the signing. It’s most likely social media incompetence but it’s odd2

So I make that:
Whitehouse, Pederson, Koivunen
Mason, Skeels, Lobato, N'Dow, Johnstone, Waldie
Siber, Humphrey, Hutton, Fitzgerald, Lockwood
Kenney, Partido, McAteer
Really need a striker in the building, a lot of work to do still in the summer, probably need another 8-10 signings0 -

The way this is written out makes no sense, it's not in formation order, name order or number order! Unless N'Dow has retrained in the summer as a box to box midfielder, and Hutton and Fitzgerald are now strikers!EpsomAddick said:

Just went on the BBC website, and you would not know Charlton are in the WSL1, no mention at all.3

Finished 3-0, with goals from Mason, Skeels and Kenney (who also a missed a first-half penalty).

It looked like some more signings were at the game today wearing Charlton kit items.
Sophie Whitehouse was at the ground.
Lobato had a great game. N'Dow looked very sharp.
No other pre season games or a training camp announced.10 -
I don't know the name of the Director General of the Beeb, but whoever it is - OUT!msomerton said:Just went on the BBC website, and you would not know Charlton are in the WSL1, no mention at all.0 -

Similarly on the Guardian's WSL page, which is normally quite good for women's football, we're still down as having made no signings yet on their transfer tracker despite it being updated this morning. I don't think we're going to feature much in the mediamsomerton said:Just went on the BBC website, and you would not know Charlton are in the WSL1, no mention at all.1 -

The club have posted a video showing the new dressing rooms, and Newsham is in it - so I assume she's signed a new deal.

More rubbish comms. That actual video is nice but including Newsham and two posts earlier making it sound like the upgrade was something that just happened. It’s so poorEpsomAddick said:The club have posted a video showing the new dressing rooms, and Newsham is in it - so I assume she's signed a new deal.

I mean they're in the new training kit and have the new kit on the wall so it's pretty recent.
Even if Newsham hasn't signed a new deal yet she'll be here rehabbing0 -
New keeper announcement incoming (the one mistakenly published a few days ago, presumably)0

Do I need to start panicking?
Please tell me Sophie is staying 🙏🫣😬🥹😫😭😭😭😭😭😭0 -
My guess would be that we're covering ourselves in case someone comes in for Sophie, having already given ourselves some protection by signing her to a new deal before the end of last season.1
-
I’m not worrying too much. Last season was a bit of an anomaly in that Hills usually rotates her keepers and doesn’t have a set number 1. If Whitehouse performs to her usual level then it’s going to be hard to get her to sign a new deal but we now have Koivunen for two years. I think we’ll see them both across the season.I also have noticed since the playoff game that Pedersen is very involved in the social media side of things and has been this preseason. I don’t expect her to play but I do expect her to be a big part of the comms1

Seems like we're teasing another signing from Australia0

With a two hour build up and another post already it better be someone I've heard of!0
