  • So Holsgrove, Aribo or Kamara mentioned……

Must say Holsgrove would be the one that would get this forum jumping. Proper signing.

Aribo wouldn’t be cheap on wages I suspect. But haven’t really seen us linked.

I see Kamara was on loan at Getafe so he can’t be that bad
On Kamara, there’s nothing here to suggest he’ll solve our creative issues. I wouldn’t want him to be our big money signing

  • Would be underwhelmed by aribo. Holsgrove would be a statement, but from mr in the know St John it’s a non starter as he’s simply not interested.

He should absolutely boss it at National League level from RWB

Surprised he’s dropped that low. Think he’s better than that really

National league does pay more than a lot of league 2 though so might have been his best offer

That’s a different player he’s posted to his story, unless he’s deleted something

    No, that's Sahid Kamara
  •  Think we're probably going to get someone from Europe that none of us have really heard of but the pedigree will look good.

That's Sahid Kamara who would have played U18s with Asiimwe.
  • Good luck to him Mitchell is an old fashioned defender.  Would run through walls head first, a decent lad but lacking in some modern qualities.  Not the most mobile and not great in possession.

A season of 10 goals and 11 assists would have made him involved in basically 50% of our goal contributions last year!

@stjohnshill has really established himself as the No.1 ITK this off season. Great to see a new face coming through.

Disappointing performances from a few of the veteran ITKs here though:

    Yeah their legs have gone.

Young enough to improve, as is often said about TC, Kelman etc. Any winger signing is likely to either be someone stepping up or past their best, we won’t be signing someone who had those numbers at this level last season.
  • A central position of need is getting close to signing
Love this. Sounds like a fortune cookie but we all know stjohnshill has the goods
  • Scored 5 goals from right wing in the champ the season after for them which is still better than any of our current wingers

We're only allowed one ex Millwall player in our squad...

  • I’m not anti Kamara by any means, I just don’t think he’s worth a big fee

Apparently this is Mitchell training at Plymouth.
FFS. We're spying already? Remember what happened to Southampton!!
  • Well, looks like we can put 'wouldn't play for rival team' with 'no player would want to play for that manager' in the nonsense things fans say pile
"As soon as I met the manager, I knew it was the right place for me. The ambitions of the club and what he wants to build is very exciting and I want to be a part of that."

But players don't want to play for Jones.

    I said decent players, mate.

    Not injury prone, squad players.

I am sure he was blown away when he was told a Championship club was interested. I reckon he'd already started looking at houses in Cambridge.

Besides, you're a bright enough chap to know that's the usual guff players come up with, whether it's Real Madrid or Margate they're signing for.

What's he going to say, 'I enjoyed giving it to Charlton last season, so was astonished when they wanted to sign me, as I thought I'd have to phone Harris for a new contract in League One'.
    Very true.

'John Smith said he was looking forward to working with Michael Appleton, "As soon as I arrived, and he grunted vaguely at me before staring at me across the room in silence for 45 minutes like he wanted to rip my throat out with his bare hands, I knew this was the right club for me.  It just felt right."'

    Yeah their legs have gone.
my legs have gone but more importantly in this context, most of my sources have either gone or going - stjohnshill seems a worthy Nr.1 - his central position rumour brings many things to mind - 1) good, we desperately need some fresh centre mid quality, 2) he's made no comment on the quality, possibly he doesn't know or 3) he's unimpressed 4) i can believe it could be imminent because signing a millwall reject is news that needs burying fast
  • A poster on the PASOTI forum is saying the fee is "100% 600k with add ons".

From the A Mitchell thread, the same poster on the Plymouth forum hopes to have some news on Kanu soon.

Danny Mac is so yesterday, who's next in the door... ;)
  • The days of supreme ITK coverage for anybody are gone i'd say - at one point i had a player, the club secretary, the chairman, a local news reporter and an assistant manager all feeding into my MITK !!!

Sounds like a full time job, no wonder you’ve taken ITK retirement
