Leo Sayer STILL touring!

Good God!!!

He has lived in New South Wales since 2009 and is an Australian citizen.

He’s currently over here doing a UK tour.

Was never really my cup of tea but nevertheless congratulations to him and to see he’s still rocking on and doing his thing at the age of 78!

I bet a good 50% of posters on here have never even heard of him……well you have now.😏

I've heard he's now just a one man band - but I suppose the show must go on.

I was quite a fan of Leo back in the day.

He always made me feel like dancing.

A contemporary of Leo Sayer was, of course, Gilbert O'Sullivan.  A true poet in song (Nothing Rhymed is an absolute gem), he will be 80 a matter of weeks following this year's tour

Apparently Mike Flanagan modelled his haircut on Leo Sayer's because his wife liked it. Or was it the other way around? 🤔

Thought he was a signing for a split second.

Our middle sister loved him so I probably know every one of his songs via osmosis lol so much so Thunder in my heart is on my favourites playlist.

    Good luck to him!

Saw him live a couple of years ago. He has still got it. Despite what some on here have said he is much more than just a guilty pleasure.

As well as being a great performer he co wrote many.of his big hits. He also wrote for other artists Roger Daltrey allowed him to hire his home studio in Burwash., Sussex and was so impressed that he got Leo to write the material for his first solo album with Dave Courtney. He also co wrote the Cliff Richard hit Dreaming.

He was also the first white artist to win the best points iR&B.song.for You Make Me Feel Like Dancing in 1978.

I met his mum in Ireland and had a drink with her back on the 80s. It turns out that she and my dad were first cousins through my maternal grandmother, making Leo Sayer my second cousin, although I’ve never met him.

My dad confirmed this when I returned home, but had never bothered to mention it.

Even though I was (am) into Punk Rock/Guitar bands I've always had a soft spot for Moonlighting. #guiltypleasure

Meck's 2023 remix of Thunder In My Heart is a banging tune.
