Really didn’t expect Lincoln to be spending these kinds of fees

Turns out they've got a billionaire owner.
That’s just spending the TV money like us last year really. That fee is less than we were rumoured to spend on Kelman

Come on, I am not trying to compare them to us.

Most of us thought they'd be coming up and just be happy to participate and enjoy the Champ gates, it seems like they have other ideas is all. I don't think anyone could have anticipated that they would be putting those types of bids in

If their manager can get them ticking like Skubala, they could become a real problem and I was hoping they'd be certs to drop.

I expected them to do exactly this, spend the money they can trying to get some good assets to either stay up or be able to flip next summer. Their co-managers worked under Skubala so it’s very possible their squad over performs. I’d still expect them to go down, they just won’t be as weak as many are assuming. An extreme example but they aren’t another Sheffield Wednesday

Fabrizio Romano is reporting Chelsea are close to signing Barco, who was the little Argentinian weasel who ran off the subs bench to celebrate in the England players' faces.

I think him and Chelsea are a match made in heaven.
Hopefully UK Border Force give him and Fernandez a nice welcome when they fly in to Heathrow

Maybe they should remember the old adage that one striker doth not a successful signing make.

6'4 so passes the Charlton Life height test. €3.5m with €1.5m of addons according to this paper, so a hefty fee but not £6m.

Watford have signed Iker Bravo from Udinese.

They've also resigned striker Luca Kjerrumgaard on a permanent deal who they had on loan last season from Udinese.

They are the clubs second and third signings of the summer. Earlier in the window they signed Omar Traore from Udinese.

Bah, 14 goals in 101 games.

Simon Church got 10 in 63, that would have been 16 goals over the same games.

    Rubbish.

(No I've never seen him play and have no idea if he's any good).

I should think so. Done 10 million already this window, which is our biggest window yet, so will need to cash in on one of the main assets. It’s seems to be the model we’re following. Recruit well, get them young and cheap, sell the odd one on for big profit, then reinvest. It is a two step forward one step back approach. But it’s the only way a club of our size can do it without blowing the FFP (or whatever it’s called now days) out the window. The main thing is to keep going forward. Slowly slowly catchy monkey.

Don't think he's that great, personally.

Watch him score about 20 this season now I've said that.

Mixed reviews from Peterborough fans online. A lot are saying they’ve had our pants down for 3 million, and like you say he’s not all that. But then I also remember a lot of Reading fans saying the same about Azeez so could just be sour grapes. We’ll see. I reckon our recruitment team get about 80% right these days. And the few who aren’t successful are usually loan players or on short/cheap contracts so it’s not a biggy if it doesn’t work out. Apparently we’ve been watching this lad from his non league days so I don’t think it’s a rushed rash purchase.

Sounds like the mixed views we get of TC, and what we’ve seen about Grant and Alli after they signed. Wingers don’t need to be the most well rounded and consistent players to have something to offer. The same type of comments were even being said about England’s wingers at the World Cup.

Will be interesting to compare how he does to Alli. Will we have got the better deal by spending a fraction of the fee ?

Alli is 4 years older than Lisbie so if Lisbie is a success he’ll have a much greater sell on value.
Even if they were of similar quality football wise, you would expect to pay more for a player who is four years younger.

Also, there will still be room for improvement in Lisbie with some decent coaching. Allí was still playing non league football at 24. Lisbie has had one very good season at L1 level but did so aged 21/22. At 26, Allí is pretty much at his peak, give or take, for that position.

I don’t know a great deal about either player to be totally honest but I’d like to think we’ve got the better deal out of the two 😊

Yeah good point. We even got some of those comments from some of our fans about Azeez towards the end of last season when his form tailed off a bit, and he’s about to go for big money
