    I'll get behind him, but Alli is an underwhelming signing if true. It seems Pompey fans want Kamara back, not Alli.

    Looks like a lot of succession planning going on at the Valley (which is wise bearing in mind we have a few key players entering the last year of their contracts) I.e.

    - Two left wingers (Grant & Alli) coming in as we expect TC to move on by Jan

    - A right back coming in earlier this week as we expect Ramsay to move on by Jan

    - Collins coming in at the end of last season (to compliment Jones, Burke & Gough as right sided CBs) as LJ appears reluctant to sign a new contract.

    I guess if the players mentioned above are not going to sign extensions then we need to plan for the future & sell them whilst we can still get some money for them (rather than let them walk away for free at the end of the season).

    It’s smart business. I actually think Koumetio is our long term Jones replacement. Obviously he’s left footed so slightly different but I think he’s the aerially dominant type of centre back that we would need if Jones did leave. 

    I don’t think we will sell Jones at any cost. Ramsay I don’t think we can afford to lose at the moment either unless we bring in another right sided defender 

    As much as I love TC, if we sign Alli to add to Grant, then if TC doesn’t sign a new contract I’d be tempted to sell and then bring in Kamara for the right hand side

    For the sake of balance, I will say that I think the business we have done has actually been pretty good - replacements for Chambers and Clarke, extra CB cover and the option to cover/rotate TC if needed. Dixon, Mitchell and Anderson were never realistically going to be first team options short of an absolutely generational injury crisis so moving all three on makes sense and gives space in the squad.

    Its easy to be concerned about the very obvious deficiencies in midfield (concerns I share) but based on what we have done I do genuinely believe there is action being taken to try and resolve this - whether or not it succeeds remains to be seen of course.

    Short version: we've done pretty well so far but there's a lot more work to do.

    📝Charlton Athletic are frontrunners to sign Luton Town winger Millenic Alli. The winger spent the second half of last season on loan at Portsmouth and, on his day, is a real threat out wide thanks to his pace. However, Charlton aren’t the only Championship club interested

    It’s defo alli based on my tools used last night and there’s been more added since then! Bed wet away guys 

    I’ve decided I’ll keep an active look out for people using my tools because I didn’t really think about using it for this usecase before this
