We raid wrexham for a centre midfielder.4

What about Holsgrove, is he a possibility? Don’t think he’s been mentioned so far or would he be too expensive?16

I want to know if they are all spelt correctlyUboat said:

- Jordan Holsgrove
- Juho Kilo

- Frank Adjei
- Markus Karlsson
- Adrion Pajaziti
- Santiago Castañeda
- Seo Jae-Min
- Panagiotis Andreou
You can probably pick holes in each of them for one reason or another. Not gone too deep with the research but thought it would be fun to throw half a dozen names out.0 -
They both start, especially Wingfenaddick said:
I think this is where JRC is causing an issue. You can take a punt on Wing/Collins if you have the squad space for them to be a good bench option if they’re not good enough to start. We don’t have that space and need midfielders who can come in and startBraziliance said:
I wonder if after watching our midfielders put in a stinker against average League 1 opposition they will change their stance on this.PringlesCurtains said:
Know his agent, apparently passed on him.Braziliance said:On the subject of Peterborough and that ridiculous rumour, I have noticed Peterboroughs player of the year Archie Collins hasn't joined anyone yet.
Really feel that would be a smart pick up. Pretty good on the ball, can pick a pass, plenty of league 1 experience and looks like he could play a level above potentially.
Not saying he would solve all our midfield problems, but think it would be a solid pick up on a free.
League 1 still has very good players and shouldn't be ignored.
Surprised no one has gone near Lewis Wing either, he might be 31, but he consistently plays 40+ games a season, has goals and assists in him and doesn't rely on pace, can easily see him being a consistently good player well into his mid thirties like Oli Norwood.0 -

We are destined to get 20% of £0 when he finally leaves Liverpool at the end of his contractfenaddick said:I know no one was counting on it but Joe Gomez got his customary preseason injury yesterday to guarantee we don't get the sell-on this summer
Joe Gomez will come back to CAFC on a free in a couple of years as the injuries continue to limit Joe at the top level.
He can afford one of the mansions in Chiselhurst and in 2 years time Joe will have been at Liverpool for 13 years so wages shouldn't be a problem for Charlton as he could afford to buy the club !
I think Gus and Linda Gomez would like to see Joe finish his career where he started it.

If that valuation is realistic, there’s no way we are paying it!Scoham said:
Cos he's the deep lying midfielder of our dreams in FMSwisdom said:i see a lot of talk about Holsgrove but has anyone here actually seen him play? he had a half decent season last year but is 26, not a kid. I fail to see why he is being lauded as the second coming of christ.

Type your commenthttps://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/valentino-muller/profil/spieler/307817
This guy is a defensive midfielder who got 10 goals and 4 assists last season in Austrian top league for Tirol. Currently a free agent and at 27 should be at his peak. Also got a great name!

We need quality, not another midfielder that isn’t good enough to be starting week in week out in the championship. There’s a reason why he’s been playing in league one for the last 5 years.Braziliance said:

Just reading on today's babble (not bothered with the previous few weeks) and some are talking about Dykes returning. Did I get a bump on the head? I swear I heard he signed for someone else (Bristol City?). Either way, I wouldn't want him back. Coady on the other hand, I'd be happy with. I really think he made the difference between staying up/going down last season, albeit in an unspectacular fashion.
Also some saying if we can unload Olafe or Kanu........... yet no calls for Leaburn to depart. I'm of the opinion that he's a lower league player and will pretty much spend the rest of his career playing for someone like Gills or of the ilk.1 -
Only by Sandgaard. I do not think any fans had a view on him either way before we signed him.Ferryman said:

Doesn't always work like that, I've always said there will be people playing above their level, and people playing below their level.arny23394 said:

There could be a number of reasons for this, but being at a Championship club doesn't equate to being a Championship level player and the same goes for League 1.
We aren't going to be able to match upper Champ wages (nothing new there) it looks like our scouting isn't as vast as we would have hoped (our links and signings haven't shown me otherwise) and we aren't going to be dropping the types of fees we are seeing even mid-table Championship sides drop.
The very best of League 1 wouldn't be the worst idea.
Please no one tell me we already tried that either, as statistically we didn't sign the very best of League 1 last season. Kelman and Knibbs being the only two that fell into that category almost but both got injured, had bad pre-seasons and have been very much stop start.0 -
Can't see any obvious targets in that Wrexham midfield anyway , no chance we'd have a look at DKD as another 10/striker0

I think the mods should replace the link to this thread to the summer window 2022 just for a laugh. Relive the excitement of Shinnie, Goalby, Mansfield and Gunter8

Ive no idea why Dobbo is on the market because Wrexham fans loved him.
He could do the job of Doc, Coventry and Carey combined.17 -
Wrexham haven't made a move yet. I'd expect upgrades. If Dobbo were to become available on loan or otherwise he'd be a serious addition, especially in Docs position .4
-
I doubt Dobson would come back if offered the chance anyway3
