Was told the other day  by a friend of mine that he reckons chetam ezenwata (our u18s player) had been poached by another club, not entirely sure if it’s true as he doesn’t normally have any inside info.  Would be gutting if true, looked a real player in the games I watched last year and only 16.

His brother was poached last year so maybe he's mixed up the two.

This Whitehawk vs Charlton game is an u18 fixture. None of the u21s are here, and none of the u18s who were in Germany are here.

Charlton have just gone 1-0 up. Harry Randall (I think) with a screamer into the top corner from just outside the box on around 20 minutes.

Correction - was Kit Fleming with the screamer. Both our CMs are identical and I’ve not got my glasses.

    1-1. Second half just started

they scored about 5 mins after us. Second ball from a corner… more physical which is to be expected with a men’s team.

Good test for these boys. Kit Fleming was probably our standout player first half.

No teamsheets. I’ve asked… but wrote down the players as I saw them coming out. Will post at full time.

2-1. Penalty - think it was Kayode Peterkin who scored

    5/10 mins left

3-1. Outstanding team goal scored by Noah Grover-Smith.

Quick play down the left that Noah started, one pass football over to the right. Cross came in along the floor from the right and Noah poked it past the keeper.

Full time 3-1. Game called a few mins early due to an injury to a Whitehawk player who went down off the ball.

    Starting XI

    Logan Williams

    Theo Laronde
    Right CB
    Cameron Reid
    Noah Grover-Smith

    Patrick Boje (c)
    Harry Randall
    Kit Fleming
    Raynon Richmond

    Bradley Tagoe
    Kayode Peterkin

    Subs:
Unknown keeper - very tall mixed race lad. Not on the OS and not a new scholar
    Rueben Amissah
    Chetam Ezenetwa
Unknown CM - called Liam. White lad, brown hair. Not on the OS and not a new scholar

There was also a lad called Laron (sp) who came on the left wing.

My assessment for those who are interested:
Very good test against a mens team who play one below the NLS. Whitehawk were a physical side and it took us most of the first half to get used to that physicality, and at 15/16/17 years of age, you’ll never match that.

There weren’t many chances first half, but we started to get the ball down and play. We scored our first from a cross to the edge of the box. Harry Randall picked the ball up on the edge of the box, took a touch and rifled it into the top left hand corner.

They scored 5 to 10 mins afterwards. Corner came in, we didn’t clear it. Ball was pinging around in the air. They were first to it every time (through physicality and their man volleyed it into the roof of the net. Keeper no chance.

Other than a few half chances, they were the only two proper chances first half.

Second half was similar. Not many chances. Our sub keeper made a decent save mid way through. Was a cross/shot from the edge of the box which he parried away nicely.

The pen came out of nowhere really. Our subs brought some fresh energy and ‘Liam’ made a break. He was 1v1 with the keeper and took a heavy touch which the keeper dealt with. The second ball came to one of our lads - I think it was Rueban Amissah - and the keeper has gone in again just inside the box and was adjudged to have took the man before the ball. I thought it was harsh… anyway, Kayode Peterkin stepped up and slotted it into the bottom corner. Keeper went the wrong way, but no chance.

The third goal was probably the best of the three. Noah Grover-Smith drove forward down the left hand side. A series of quick first time passes meant the ball was moved out to the right. Noah continues his run into the box and picked up a low cross. He took a touch and poked it home past the keeper. Was a very good team goal.

The third goal delighted Pearcey more than the other two.

Steve Brown was there but left at 1-1. Should never leave a game early…

Thanks for the report, great stuff.

Amissah was an u21 and released in the summer so couldn’t have been him?

You are correct. That was the lad that Pearcey kept calling ‘Laron’

I was correct the first time… it was Harry Randall who scored the first goal. Not Kit.

Both have identical hair styles and when the sun is in your eyes, it’s hard to distinguish between the two!

I stand by it being a screamer. Just seen the goal back. Kayode Peterkin has posted it to his Instagram story if anyone is interested.

Looks like Chetam Ezenwata may have left, he's not OS u18 squad page (or u21s) which has been updated with all the new scholars.

Really disappointing, if somewhat expected, if he has.

    Isn’t he only 16 - he won’t get signed up until he’s 17
